They say that Vampires can lure their pray with a single look.
Just one glance it took for him to be enthralled that night.

The gathering of those shimmering stars had not changed too. Since that time, or perhaps even longer, they still stood high up in the sky, shining proudly as a star could be. However, the most startling part of the night sky was the crimson light that came from it, the blood-colored moon that glowed so brightly among the stars.

It had been almost two decades since he caught a glimpse of those exquisite scarlet eyes lurking in the darkness. Then, he was imprudent. He was only a child back then, following along with his grandfather’s story about the beasts that lurk in the shadows.

“Under the Blood Moon, is the only time you would see those creatures,” his grandfather would tell him as he took out his sketchbook to show his youngest grandchild the being he caught with a quick drawing with his quill.

Ryo was captivated that night when he caught the being standing just a few feet away from him. And with a flash, he was gone.

Why didn’t he kill him that night? Was he showing pity?

Moving his russet gaze away from the midnight colored sky, Ryo raise his hand to the crucifix that he wore proudly around his neck, raising the cross with his gloved fingertips, to his lips to press a kiss against it. He whispered a prayer under his breath before grasping the leather reins to turn the direction of his steed to one towards the dark forest.

The horse neighed in protest, trying to go another direction, “Steady, girl,” Ryo said softly as he ran his hand up and down the horse’s ivory mane before tugging the horse towards the direction that he was heading.

It was a risk, but it was a risk that he was willing to take. He needed to find him.

Would he still be here, even after all these years? Still looking as magnificent as he did when he caught a glance at the beast?

But he had a job to do, he had to kill it. He had to protect his village from this creature.
A loud howl was heard, causing the Vampire Hunter to shiver slightly. His steed let out a soft whinny, trying to back up and leave but he could not.

He cannot leave.

Therefore, he continued on, a loud cry came from a crow that lingered nearby that caused to him to jump slightly. He raised his weapon, his crossbow, and flickered his gaze towards the direction where there was a rustle of leaves by the trees that were nearby. Then a snap of a twig…!

Ryo let out a soft grunt of acknowledgement; aimed and fired, then heard a piercing whimper of some type of mammal, which he now knew it wasn‘t his Vampire. He lowered his bow, grabbed the reins, and nudged his horse towards the direction where he fired. Only to hear a rumble of a snarl that was close by. Even with the light from the Blood Moon, he could hardly make out what was, but the way it was on it’s four legs and thick matted black fur covered it‘s lean figure, it was definitely not his creature of the dark.

It was a wolf.

The wolf was crutched down, snarling as it aimed to snap at his horse’s hooves. He nudged his horse at another direction but then heard another growl that was nearby.

Ryo cursed under his breath, as he took out the silver pistol but it was too late. The damnable creature shot up and snapped at his hand, causing him to drop his gun. The horse let out another neigh and reared on its back legs, throwing off the Vampire hunter from his place on the saddle.

He fell to the ground hard as his horse galloped away with a few of the wolves from the pack at its tail. Ryo backed up, slowly against the trunk of the tree as he reached for his other silver pistol that rested at the edge of his boot, raising up and aiming at whatever wolf that was closest. There were a grand total of three and they were gaining up on him.

He could feel blood bubbling up from the scratch that he received when he fell to the forest floor and flowing down freely. He fired, once at one of the wolves, causing one of them to let out a loud whine and scamper off. Nevertheless, two remained, and he was limited on bullets.

“You aren’t going to kill them both with that thing,” he heard a soft, mellifluous tone that lingered near by, just a few feet away from him. “Oh, thank Go--” Ryo froze, and then he spotted the eyes. Scarlet.

It was his Vampire.

“Get away from me, you monster!” Ryo cried out and aimed his gun towards him but it was a blunder, the wolves dashed towards him, seizing the opportunity of now striking for their next meal. However, the Vampire acted fast, he jumped in front of the Vampire hunter and his stance was hunched over slightly, as if leveling himself with the wolves. His lush lips were parted as two distinct razor-sharp fangs were exposed.

The wolves let out another whine and backed off, as if knowing they could not face a creature such as the one in front of them. They both scurried off, along side any mammal that was looking at Ryo as if it was its next feast.

The Vampire gracefully turned around and arched an eyebrow at Ryo, who was still holding up his pistol at the Vampire. “If you think you can kill me with this thing,” the Vampire said with a grin as he leaned over and with his index finger, pushed down the gun’s direction from him and continued, “You are solemnly mistaken. Your mortal weapons do little destruction.”

“Y-You…you saved my life,” Ryo managed to say as he kept his gaze on the Vampire’s features. He never thought a beast that feasts on human blood to be so…

So appealing.

In the shadows, his features were dainty looking and laced with femininity. But the way he held himself was masculine.

“Yes, and…?” the Vampire responded with a smirk as he tilted his head slightly, his eyes seemed to darken slightly at the sight of blood that flowed down from Ryo’s cheek, “You are bleeding.”

“Oh…” Ryo reached up and touched his own cheek but in an instant, he felt the other pin him down on the forest floor. The Vampire Hunter’s eyes widen slightly as he felt a warm tongue brush against the abrasion, gathering the crimson nectar with a single flick.

Ryo shuddered slightly; there was something erotic about the way the other was lapping up the blood from his cheek. A delicate brush of a moisten tongue caused the Vampire Hunter to have ripples of pleasure spread though out his body. His lower body tightened as the other moved to straddle the other’s hips, as the Vampire’s tongue flicked against Ryo’s bottom lip with a soft hum. As if putting him in a state of full arousal, Ryo never experienced something quite like this. Killing him left his mind now, now his awareness was to have sex with this exquisite monster.

“Do you realize how effortless it would be to end your life right now?” the Vampire’s lips just centimeters away from Ryo’s panting mouth, just a simple teasing brush of contact caused Ryo to tremble.

What was this…?

Why was he feeling this way?

“…Please…” Ryo pleaded softly as the Vampire chuckled, it was subtle and sultry. As if giving to what he wanted, the Vampire slowly rotated his hips down, adding pressure to the now bulge in the other’s leather pants, feeling him shake slightly from contact.

Just one look, Ryo, in a point of his desire, noticed at the other’s lips was parted. Two razor sharp fangs. And he felt the other’s supple lips brush against the softness of his exposed neck.

Oh god, oh god, oh god…

What had he done?

In a moment there was excruciating pain then he was swallowed by darkness.

******

Ryo slowly came to; he was lying on some type of bedding. His head was throbbing as if he had been drinking strong wine. He was indistinct, confused and most of all, his gaze was slightly blurry. But after a moment of two of trying to converge, he managed to slowly sit up.

“You are awake.”

Ryo turned towards the doorway, seeing the very Vampire that seduced him that night, standing there with a tray of food for him (since he was pretty sure these damnable creatures are unable to eat human food). “…Where am I?”

“Well, I couldn’t leave you there in the woods all in your lonesome. I brought you to my home,” the Vampire moved to lay the tray at the cherry wood side table and sat down on the edge of the bed. Ryo reached over behind him to feel for his spare gun but only to feel…nothing.

“I removed all of your weapons,” the Vampire said calmly, but his smirk rested on his tempting lips. “You may lack weapons but you certain don’t lack on a certain one,” he flicked his gaze to between Ryo’s thighs and then back at the Vampire Hunter, whom flushed with embarrassment.

Ryo’s hand went to his neck; he could feel two punctured wounds and flinched slightly in pain.

“That was my imbursement,” the Vampire said as he reached over to pick up the steamy bowl of soup and raised the spoon, “Open,” the Vampire said as he raised the spoonful to the other’s lips. “You need your strength.”

“Why.”

“Hm?” The Vampire asked as he tilted his head slightly, his crimson eyes watching the other.

“Why did you save me from the wolves?”

“Because,”

“Because…?”

“Just because I felt like it.”

That was a detached answer, but Ryo did not push for more as he parted his lips to take in the food in his mouth.

“Even if you were out to slay me, I knew I couldn’t let you die.”

Ryo flinched, “So you knew?”

“You were carrying a crest of the Four Brothers. So I'm assuming that you were out to murder me."

“My Grandfather was one of the Four Brothers.”

The Vampire set down the bowl on the tray as he slowly stood up, making his way over to the window, which it was still dark.

“I see. And you decided to make yourself one of them? Shame. You had potential.”

“Potential…?”

“Being one of us,” the Vampire said softly as he played with a bit of his own raven tresses slightly with his index and thumb, “You would make a fine hunter of the night. Gorgeous too.”

“You want to kill me and make me the monster that you are?”

“I’m not a monster, you are,” the Vampire turned to him, his crimson eyes lit up in anger as he made his way to him, leaning over the other as he ran his nail against the other’s jaw line, “You slaughter my kind without a second thought, without thinking. We are not evil.”

“You murder people.”

“I may, but I do not kill women or children. I only murder those that commit crimes.”

“…You do?”

“Yes.”

Ryo was hesitant then he said softly, “Do you remember that night…almost twenty years ago?”

“A little boy, yes. That was you, wasn’t it?”

“Why didn’t you kill me?”

“I told you, I don’t kill children,” the Vampire ran his hand down the other’s chest, letting his nails rake gently against the other’s clothed chest, causing a gasp to be admitted from Ryo’s lips.

“But I saw you, I could have exposed you that night, you would have been hunted down and your head on a spike.”

“That would have been interesting.”

The Vampire even looked thoughtful then turned to Ryo, then asked, “Are you afraid of me?”

“No.”

“My name is Asagi.”

“I…what?”

“My name. My name is Asagi.”

“…” Ryo was astonished, he was not expecting that.

“And yours?” the Vampire asked, quirking an eyebrow and waiting for an answer.

“…Ah…Ryo.”

“Ryo, hm? Has a nice ring to it.”

Asagi slowly, with feline-like grace, pulled away and stood up. “I’ll see you soon. I must feed,” And with that, he was gone.

A/N: I have no idea how far I’m going to go with this. I’m being honest. I really don’t know. XD; I do love my plot bunnies I get with this story.

Just for a moment, the vampire hunter closed his eyes. That was all it took for him to fall into a dream-filled slumber. Though, not that one could say a dream, more so a nightmare.

Failing.

If he doesn’t full-fill his task, he saw himself on his knees. Begging for mercy as he reached out for his family, whom had their backs turned from him and walking away, melting into the darkness as they did so. He saw his childhood friends and even his grandfather, whom died years prior to this day, turn away from him, disappearing into the shadows. Without a word to him; not giving him the satisfaction of letting him know that he is forgiven for not killing the Vampire. He was alone. He felt childlike, younger. In fact, in this nightmare, he was his younger ten year old self.

Then he heard a voice;

“Wake up.”

From where he was on his knees, he looked up. His rosy cheeks were tearstained and even more tears fell down his own cheeks as he let out a soft whimper, “Who’s there?”

“Wake up, Ryo.”

They only repeated, as he slowly got up from where he was placed and ran towards the voice. As fast as his trembling legs can take him.

With a shuddering gasp, Ryo sat up from where he was sleeping. Panting, his hand was placed over his heart as if trying to recuperate his composure. There, right next to him, was his Vampire.

Asagi.

That very moment, he wanted to kill him. To make sure his nightmare didn’t come true. The thought of his family and friends disowning him for not killing the beast that had been killing their livestock and their people…

He would be a disappointment.

Quickly, he lunged out. His slender fingers wrapped around Asagi’s throat and squeezed as hard as he could. But alas, he failed. It was like squeezing a tree-trunk. Asagi simply stared at him, his plush lips curved into an amused smile before placing his own hand over Ryo’s and with little effort, pulled his hand off his pale throat.

“Trying to kill me at any given moment, are we?” Asagi whispered and with a flick of his wrist, he twisted the other’s. Not enough to break, but enough to make a statement.

“You. Can’t. Kill. Me,” Asagi said, putting a little force to the wrist with each given word, as if scolding a child that has been past their bedtime. Ryo cried out, arching slightly and trying to pull away from the excruciating pain that shot up his arm. “Do you understand? No matter what you do or what you try to do, you can’t execute me. Don’t even think about trying to put an end to my life because I will end yours so fast that your head will still be spinning when I’m done with you,” his voice was in a soft lethal whisper, his eyes seem to smolder slightly in annoyance. “Now, do you understand?”

Ryo slowly nodded, “Yes…Asagi, I understand.”

“Good,” With that said, he released him.

Ryo curled his throbbing wrist to his chest and rubbed it slightly. He never knew Vampires can be that resilient. He thought they were just like other animals.

His eyes went back to his Vampire. His cheeks were slightly flushed and his lips held color. That meant that he fed. “How many people did you kill?” Ryo asked, trying to move his fingers on his injured hand. He could, just slightly but it was still aching.

“I didn’t kill any,” Asagi said as turned his attention to Ryo, “Does your wrist hurt? Let me get something for that--”

“Don’t bother,” Ryo snapped, but his eyes widen when he said that. He closed his eyes, expecting a blow to the face from the other. But he felt the softness of the other’s hands on his face. His eyes shot open, just before he felt the other’s lips pressed against his with slow, sensuous hunger.

He was stunned, speechless that the other would do such a thing. Timid, he didn’t part his lips and tried to pull away but the other held him still. The moist tip of the other’s tongue brushed against the bottom firm lip of the Vampire Hunter’s. Making him shiver slightly in anticipation, before parting his lips. All thoughts now of killing the Vampire vanished. First, he was confused. Why are his thoughts so easily swayed away when he felt the other’s lips are pressed against his flesh? Why was this happening to him?

“Would you like to feel this everyday, Ryo?” his Vampire asked softly, he pulled away before his lips pressed against his jaw line, his tongue flicking just slightly against the soft skin. “Pleasure. Wouldn’t you like that? Can you imagine what it would be like…if everyday, would be like this?” Asagi continued to press kisses, traveling down to the other’s neck. His tongue flicked the area where one could feel another’s pulse. As for Ryo’s, his heart was thundering against his chest at the excitement of how close Asagi’s lips, where his fangs were at, were so close to his exposed neck. “Visualize…just one bite and you will be all mine for the rest of eternity. Would you enjoy that?”

Ryo let out a soft moan as he flung his head back against the soft goose-feathered pillows as his hands clawed at the other’s waist. Asagi was straddling him now, his hips moving down unhurriedly as if teasing the other as he leaned over, claming Ryo’s panting lips into a soft chaste kiss.

He felt the other’s hands move to untie the base of his leather pants, pulling them down his slender hips. His own erected cock was now pressed against the Vampire’s thigh. He quivered slightly, letting out a faint moan when Asagi took hold of his throbbing erection, squeezing the hilt as he grinned, just slightly.

“You like that, don’t you?” the Vampire whispered against the other’s lips before he nipped playfully, “Tell me.”

“Y-Yes, I do,” Ryo whispered softly.

In a blur, that’s all that took for the Vampire to yank down his own trousers, both leaving each of their lower parts exposed to one another. The Vampire moved his hand to his own neck, pressing the tip of his thumbnail against one of the sides of his neck, dragging slowly as a blood slowly bubbled from the self-inflicted wound. The Vampire leaned over, as droplets of blood fell on Ryo’s mouth. “Drink.”

Ryo, in a daze, parted his lips, as the blood fell from the Vampire’s neck, he tried to catch the blood drops into his mouth. He panted, leaning upward to brush his own tongue against the vampire’s neck.

In animalistic craving, Ryo bit. The Vampire let out a soft hiss but let him. His hand went between their bodies, grasping both of their cocks and stroked, squeezing slightly.

There was something very erotic about piercing his human teeth into the other’s neck; drinking the blood. There was something intense in Asagi’s blood. It was somehow sweet, fulfilling and most of all…thick, like honey. It slid down his throat in a lazy manner as he continued to swallow. It was as if it was sap from the Tree of Life itself.

His hips bucked when he felt the Vampire stroke him, squeezing his cock. His thumb brushed against the silt, making the Vampire Hunter tremble beneath the Vampire.

Then he felt the familiar brush of the other’s fangs against his neck, then he felt the other’s cold lingering breath against his flesh, “You are mine.”

Mine.

There was something in those three words that caused Ryo’s cheeks to redden.

With that, the Vampire sank his fangs deep into Ryo’s neck, causing a yelp of pain to be admitted from the Vampire Hunter’s lips.

He felt the other suck against the two pierced abrasions on his neck, causing Ryo to pull away from the Vampire’s neck. His eyes closed. With each movement of the other’s hand on his erection, causing him to spread his legs in order to thrust upward against the other’s talented fingers.

He could hear his own thundering pulse against his ears, his blood-smeared lips parted as soft gasps escaped from them. Flashes of himself, running in the forest. His bare feet pressed against the roughness of the earth beneath him as he ran. Excitement pounded throughout his veins as he was chasing his victim. The startled heart beat from his prey as the chase was exhilarating, just the thought in moments he would have it in his hands, his own fangs slipping into it’s flesh. Drinking, taking what was rightfully his. This pathetic and feeble being under him, struggling until its last breath.

The thrill of killing another being over came him.

Ryo didn’t know he was still drinking from the Vampire: he thought he pulled away. But the tightness of his lower stomach told him he was close.

A animalistic scream tore from his being as he released, intense. Convulsing under the Vampire’s touches.

Darkness.

******

Ryo didn’t know how long he had slept, but he woken the next night (or he thought it was the next night). He raised his shaky hand to his lips, feeling for any dry blood when he fed off the Vampire.

There was none.

The Vampire hunter sat up, but slowly. His whole body felt weak, tired from what happened. It caused Ryo to flush on the thought of how repulsive the previous night’s activity was but how arousing it was to him. Just the thought of Asagi on top of him, offering his neck as droplets of blood slid down his neck. Offering his blood…

His body tightened slightly in desire at the concept.

Ryo slowly got up but was in realization that he was naked. He covered himself with the quilt that he was sleeping with and made his way to the window, where he saw his own reflection.

He slowly raised his hand to his neck, the pale flesh was bruised, the wounds were larger than before and there was even more added to the previous two that where there. There was no blood, so Ryo assumed the other cleaned him up when he fell into unconsciousness. He covered more of his body with the quilt, shivering slightly as he saw the trees sway.

He wondered if his family missed him at all, or if any of his friends are looking for him?

Then he saw him.

Asagi, on a branch of a tree that was nearby. His enormous obsidian feathered wings behind him as his palm rested against the tree. His long raven tresses blowing slightly in the wind as his expression was faced somewhere else. Pouring rain was falling on his body, his flesh and clothing were dripping wet.

He was exquisite.

Ryo wanted him, that very moment. Wanting the other under him as he claimed his body. He wanted him in the most primal sense. Attacking those soft lush lips with his own in ravenous kisses, his nails digging into his porcelain-hued flesh. His own teeth sinking into the softness of the other’s neck, lapping up the blood that he did beforehand.

Making that very Vampire, his very own. To satisfy his own hunger.

Ryo’s cheeks tinged with crimson.

Why was he having these thoughts?

Then, as if he knew, turned around to see Asagi. He was not surprised.

“Why so red?” Asagi asked in a teasing tone as he brushed his fingertips against Ryo’s cheeks.

Ryo did not answer.

He reached up, twirling a bit of the Vampire’s wet hair with his fingertips and yanked him down. Attacking his lips with kisses, nips and sucks.

This was his.

And he will damn well make sure the Vampire knows of that.
