Fragment 0: The Letter

Takahiro,
I know this is cowardly of me doing this, but I cannot see you face to face for what I am about to do. I am now sure that you noticed that my things are gone and my number changed, but what I am about to write to you in this letter may shock you and maybe even disgust you.

There is another man in my life.

I met him while working with him in the Emergency Room about three years ago, it turns out that we both graduated from the same College. He’s educated, makes a good living, and well, he has time for me.
I know you enjoy doing what you do, but sometimes I wonder the day that you finally stop and grow up. You are almost forty years old, Takahiro and still doing thing ‘singing’ thing where as you should start settling down and start a family. I have been waiting for five years for you to ask me to marry you but nothing. It is always work, work, work.

What about MY needs, Takahiro? My needs as a woman, your GIRLFRIEND.
Even though I put up with you for so many years; we lived in this old Apartment surrounded by old junk and cats for god knows how long, where as we could have gotten a place a bit bigger! I know I asked for too much but you should understand that you did this to yourself in the end. I left you for someone else because it was all too much to deal with anymore.

Included in this letter is my apartment key and mail key.
-H

The Vocalist’s eyes scanned the letter one last time before gently folding it into its creases and settling it down neatly on the small old-fashioned coffee table. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

‘Shit.’

Fragment 1: Complete Disaster.

It has been about three weeks since his girl---well, Ex-girlfriend has moved out and threw her arms around another male that Asagi has been dealing with it quite…

Well… to put it nicely, very awful.

He just wasn’t focused, to say the least as one of his band-mates had to ask him the same question five times in order to receive a response from him that is, awkwardly, the wrong answer to the question. He would check his phone every other minute to see if he received something…anything, from the ex. Moreover, it even affected him physically.

Being the tall and gorgeous male that the vocalist is, it was a shocking to see that the well-groomed and well-dressed vocalist turn into what was fumbled into something of a catastrophe. His clothes were baggy and not fitted; it hanged from his masculine frame like drapes. Under his almond-shaped eyes, dark circles started to form from not getting enough sleep instead of the usual eight hours that he should be getting while the band is not touring.

The Bassist was out with Ruiza, having lunch at a local café when the ‘Asagi Crisis‘ popped up in conversation. Tsunehito, being the youngest, is more susceptible to one’s feelings…especially when it came to their dear Vocalist. He was certainly worried for him; as today’s lunch wasn’t suppose to be a normal one on one cheerful gathering with the guitarist.

It was an urgent situation.

Today, at the studio, Asagi walked in wearing sweatpants and a loose fitting t-shirt, which caused everyone to look at one another in pure shock, even the crew. He spoke less and seemed more focused on checking the time than work. Tsunehito knew about Asagi’s relationship with the E.R. Doctor Fujiyuki Hanako since they first started dating. It was a match that Asagi’s older sister had done for the two and it seemed to start out fantastic. Since her profession and his were completely different, Asagi was able to be himself around her and open up to her than he would have with just any other woman. She’s educated, she came from a loving family and was highly goal orientated…just like him. Even though they both came from different worlds, where as one saved lives and the other pour poetry into music; they grew to love each other.

But only in the end of it all, it shatter into pieces.

Tsunehito also noticed that Asagi worked longer hours, as if trying to escape from going back to his own apartment that he shared with Hanako. He knew that the last two years of their relationship, they fought constantly. It was horrible during those times, as Tsunehito remembered one night that he even had to go pick up Asagi from down the street from his Apartment complex, as Hanako would kick him out after a nasty argument. He remembered his expression, his face still flushed from the heated dispute, but his eyes told a different story. Hurt, pain, but love.

Odd combination, but that is how the bassist saw it.

“---about this?”

“Huh?”

The Bassist snapped back to reality from his thoughts as Ruiza took a sip from his glass.

“I said that what do you think we should do about this? I mean, I know that breakups are hard but Asagi-san is taking it a bit…” Ruiza trailed off, not wanting to finish the sentence.

“Hard.” Tsunehito finished with a nod, in understanding of the predicament.

“Yeah, hard. I know girls take it bad but this is just too much.” The blonde guitarist rubbed the back of his neck as he sighed softly, “Do you realized that he is thinking about visiting the Hospital to go see that chick?”

Well, that was certainly news to him as Tsunehito dropped his utensils that he was using to eat his meal. “W-What? I highly doubt he would make it though the Emergency room without her calling security on her insane and badly dressed ex-boyfriend.”

“That’s what I told him, but he’s determined. He wants to talk to her. There isn’t much to talk about, and he can’t see that.”

Ruiza has seen the infamous letter that Hanako left behind when she left Asagi, since he was the first one called when it happened. The guitarist knew Asagi the longest that the others have been so it was only naturally for him to be there during that time of need. Ruiza never was one to settle down but just recently started a relationship, so he didn’t know what to say to the vocalist when it came down to it.

Where as if Asagi came to him, the bassist could relate most certainly.

Tsunehito had his own personal demons, especially in the dating world. He was in a long three-year relationship that ended horribly. Of course, being how he is; he just sucked it up and took it. It was all about keeping face, especially the fact that he was the new addition to the band D.

“Maybe I can talk to him about it.” Tsunehito suggested, and the look of relief washed over the guitarist’s face. “I was going to ask Zou about doing it but it seems that he’s been busy as of late with family and Hiroki…well, is Hiroki. I would but I wasn’t much help when we actually spoke. And I knew that man for years.”

“It’s okay, don’t worry about it. I got it covered.” Tsunehito smiled, giving a small nod.

TEXT: Target heading towards the hospital.

Tsunehito looked at his phone, at the text that he received from Ruiza. It seems that the vocalist had a strong determination on going to see his ex. A good thing that the bassist was close by so he can make a few turns to put him in the direction towards Hanako’s work. He knew that he be quick or it will be hard to explain to their manager how their dear and precious vocalist ended up in Jail and they needed funds to bond him out. He continued down the street before he spotted the familiar sleek red car pulling up into the Hospital parking lot. It was Asagi’s.

Tsunehito managed to find a parking spot and made his way towards the Emergency entrance where he saw the vocalist making his way inside.

‘Shit.Shit.Shit.Shit.Shit.SHIT.’

Tsunehito broke into a jog as he went though the sliding doors to see Asagi leaning over the security desk.

“You don’t understand. I am here to see Doctor Fujiyuki. It’s an emergency.”

“Sir, do you have an injury or…?”

“I need to see her, please.”

The security guard was a bit skeptic as he reached for the phone to dial but saw Tsunehito grasping the vocalist’s arm and yanked him away from the desk. “Sir! Thank you for finding him, we have been so worried!” Tsunehito said in a breathless tone as he continued to yank him towards the door but having a bit of a resistance from the Vocalist, “Tsune! What are you---”

“Uncle, I been looking everywhere for you! Don’t you leave us like that. Mother has been so worried.” Tsunehito said loudly before adding in a low tone that Asagi could only hear, “Listen, I know you want to see her but please hear me out before doing this. Just step outside with me and give me five minutes.”

The Vocalist cocked an eyebrow as he shifted his gaze towards the security guard to see him with his hand on the phone as if ready to call for back up if necessary. Then turned his gaze back at the bassist, whom looked almost desperate to get him out of there. Asagi sighed, nodding towards to the exit, and murmured, “You have five minutes.”

“Thank you, Sir!” Tsunehito said and waved at the security guard before he half-dragged the vocalist out. He continued on with silence before finally they could talk without someone overhearing for what the bassist was going to say.

“What the hell are you thinking? Do you realize that if you continue to do this, she could actually put a restraining order on you!” Tsunehito’s cheeks were flushed as he could feel anger start to wash over his form, his fists balled up and his own nails digging into his skin as he looked up at the vocalist, whom Asagi’s face was turned to the side as if avoiding the bassist’s gaze. “You always tell us, that the band is important. The band always comes first. Look at you!”

Tsunehito gestured at the vocalist’s clothes, “Never, in my years in being a part of this band that I would see you be like this! You risked yourself being exposed like this, what if…oh god, what if there was a fan in that waiting room, Asagi. What if she saw you and decides to post on Tanuki. God dammit.” Tsunehito covered his face as he took a deep breath. Tsunehito never thought he would yell at the dear precious vocalist, it was almost as if screaming at a kitten. The vocalist was always so kind and thoughtful, but the bassist knew that deep down, it needed to be said and done. Or else, it would have been taken to the extreme. What if his ex-girlfriend caught him in the waiting room, demanding to see her? What if….

Asagi finally looked over at Tsunehito, his lush lips parted to speak but he seemed hesitant, as if afraid if he was to speak…he would get scolded again like a child.

“I know how you feel right now, I been though this before…I was with…” Tsunehito never really spoke of his ex before, so it was a bit difficult, but he finally parted his lips to say softly, “…my ex boyfriend for years before he decided to up and leave me for some groupie chick that looked like Sakurina. He really likes them princess-type of girls so..” The memory of it was still harsh and cold.

‘It’s been fun, ne? You knew this day would come. Stop crying and man up.’

‘I don’t care how long we been together, I can’t ruin my rep on dating a fag like you. Just get your fucking shit and get the fuck out already!’

Tsunehito chewed on his bottom lip slightly before turning to Asagi, “She won’t be the only one in your life, there are others…others that probably are just…waiting for their chance an---’

The bassist froze completely before feeling the softness of Asagi’s lips touching his. He didn’t know how to respond. He was shaking slightly before pulling away to flicker his gaze up at the vocalist, confused and dazed on what just happened, “A--”

Before he could say his name fully, his lips met his again.

AUTHOR’S NOTE;
Holy crap, hi. This is long overdue. ;3; but yea. Just a few fyi’s here.
Tanuki is a forum type of website that is mostly used for gossip to talk about Visual Kei/ Japanese rock musicians. It’s kinda…er, not sure how to explain it but if you want, there is a FYEAHTANUKI tumblr, so go take a look. And please, don’t take what they post seriously, about 99.9% of that gossiping website is fake.

Sakurina is a gyaru model, with big princess-y hair. She’s more Himegyaru, which she’s completely adorable, mind you. (Her full name is Rina Sakurai).
