lost 1.2 pounds this week, which i was pleased with. i came down with a bad cold and didn't got to work tuesday or wednesday. the only day i worked out was monday morning, and i didn't track what i ate all week. that brings the 7 week total to 15.4 pounds and leave me exactly 10 pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight. after the next 5 pounds, i might pull out my pre-pregnancy clothes and see if they fit yet. i know that even getting back to my old weight, my body will still be different, but i hope that most of my stuff will still be wearable! there are really very few things that fit me right now.
we had a nice quiet night on friday, eating subway for dinner and watching tv. steve came over on saturday and he and evan spent the whole day working on their album, so i went over to my parents around 3. we watched tv, played yahtzee, played with stephen, and had pizza hut for dinner. stephen refused to take a nap so he was a bit of a challenge, but i managed. we got home around 8. yesterday we went bowling with my dad, the mulligans, brad, eric and martha. it was good to see everyone. we only managed to play two games in two hours, which seems to be par for the course now that we have two babies around. i got a nice nap in the afternoon, but we also got quite a bit done. we got all the christmas stuff and obsolete baby stuff in the attic (amazing how quickly he outgrows clothes, toys, etc.!), did laundry, dishes, did a little cleaning up, vacuumed, changed the sheets, etc. no matter how much we get done, there's always more. the house never seems clean enough, especially with stephen crawling all over the place and trying to put everything into his mouth. he's probably eaten a pound of dog hair already.
when they brought me back to the corporate office, i was told i would be working on contract administration. the person in that position didn't retire until the end of 2009, so i spent my first five months learning payroll and taking on other random admin tasks. i am finally now starting to work on some of the contract stuff, so i'm happy about that. i am more convinced all the time that it's a very good opportunity for me, and i'm really looking forward to my review this summer.
back to the grind.
