What a week. And I mean that. I am currently in the dean's bad books and it wasn't even my fault.
...okay, it was a little bit my fault, but I really hadn't anticipated things to turn out this way.
You may remember in my last post that I was happily singing the praises of Galileo and his infamous experiment. My wrong doing was in praising it too much.
Two days ago, a group of students found themselves rather inebriated and with nothing to do. This led to their entering campus grounds and, enthusiastic practitioners that they are of physics, decided to launch a montage to one of the greatest scientists that ever lived. This, I have no problem with.
I do have a problem with them recreating his Leaning Tower of Pisa experiment with various food items. They may very well have proved that a watermelon will fall at the same speed as an egg (several times) but I'm still held responsible to some degree.
It's all highly embarrassing.
