Yes, somehow.

Maka and Soul, they... they were able to neutralize Arachne's insanity wavelength. It was really strange. Like a melody played from a piano, expect right into our own heads.

They did it, Kid... They were able to bring that witch down! Can you believe it? Though, it seems there was a lot of other stuff that happened, too. [She puts on a weak smile, pushing part of her hair back behind her shoulders] I'm... uh... sorry if it takes me awhile to remember all the details.

Everyone else made it back to Death City okay. ...Ah, Jacqueline and Kim were pardoned by Shinigami-sama, and even offered to help out Angela.

We also tried asking Maka about the Book of Eibon, to see if she'd know something about it.
