Hmmm. You know something that bugs me a little? It is when you have a friend in real life on social media who you never hear or see anything from, who never responds to posts or comments, and then suddenly they come back to life - just like a zombie.
There is another version of that zombie, one where they come back to life in the real world, coming out socially and calling people frequently, but some of us know in the back of our minds that they are nothing more than the living dead. They will eventually disappear again, just like going back to the grave.
Sure, it's nice having them back to life again - that is until they bite you. They will bite you, no doubt about that! A fictional zombie will bite your flesh, while a Real-Life zombie will bite you emotionally. Both leave you a little less than what you were.
I call them "Zombies" because when their lives are full they are not seen or heard. When their lives are not full you see and hear a lot from them. A zombie who is full is no danger because they are full. ;)
The most common reason for someone to come back to life is when they've broken up (or are breaking up) with their significant other. Their life was full, they were happy and content, so you rarely if ever saw or heard from them. Then that relationship sickened, they are no longer full, and they come back to life looking for something to fill that emptiness. Zombie!
I say that they bite you, and they do, emotionally. They come back into your life until they find someone else to be in a relationship with and then they go off and bury themselves away again. They were, had been, nothing more than a zombie who was out hunting something to fill themselves up with. They filled themselves up with part of you while they were hunting, meaning you were nothing more than a nosh to them. I don't think they know that's what they are doing, but they are doing it, just like a mindless zombie.
So yes, there are real life zombies. They pop up time and again, chewing on you a little.
