If they had their own brand, they wouldn't have to go to the mascara store every other day.
Earl: So, Jasdevi, did you kill those guys I asked you to kill this morning? Devit: Er, you see, we, uh-- Jasdero: No, but we went to the mascara store! :D
(It has to be an entire store devoted to mascara because of high demand in the DGray universe. See also: the Bookman, Miranda, Anita, etc.)
I tend to like villains in the first place, unless they're Just Too Evil. Hoshino's good at making the villains evil, powerful (to a certain point), and hella creepy while still being somehow sympathetic. Tiki is the best example. I hope we get more Noahs and Noah info! And flashbacks. Lots of flashbacks. Unless said flashback involves Devit being blond.
Oh, thanks for clarifying. It's supposed to be post-Noah, pre-series Jasdevi. I can see now how the first sentence could come across as referring to a mysterious post-ark power-up or something. If I changed it to "Jasdero and Devit are stronger than they were as normal humans." would that be sufficient? I already know I use too many adverbs, so there's something I can work on when it comes to the sentence level. :D
haha they probably asked the Earl to make an akuma out of a shopkeeper - one that would stock nothing but mascara. XD
(hoshit, that's right! Though I think Miranda's is also because she doesn't seem to get much sleep? Like Bak, he has these really dark circles under his eyes and I keep wondering if that's because he's a workaholic or he just looks like that.) |D
The Noah are cool, but the Earl just creeps me right the hell out. Especially because he's always smiling. Tyki IS the best example, he's practically torn between the two worlds and it makes me wonder what he'd do if he ever had to make a choice since he still seems fond of his mining friends. O: I really want to know if that latest Noah Cyril/Sherryl or whatever is REALLY his brother or they just mean that in a Noah family sense. Because it'd be hilarious if Tyki was related to that perv. LOTS AND LOTS OF FLASHBACKS PLZ. I think I might die if Devit turns out blonde. D:
Ah yes, that would make it clearer from the beginning. XD Because I DID think that it was some post-ark power up at first. haha it's cool, I've been told I use too many adverbs too so I have to try and restrain myself. XDDD
Earl: Do as I say or I'll BLOW UP THE MASCARA SHOP. Jasdevi: D:
(Sleep deprivation was definitely part of Miranda's look, but the black seemed too thick to be that alone. I don't know. She certainly has less black nowadays. In Bak's case, I bet he's pretty stressed out from nerves and overwork. XD)
The Earl is creepy. Creepy and inhuman, as opposed to the creepy-but-human Noahs. It works well since he's the main villain. I don't like that he had a more "human" form in a recent chapter, since I think it would be cooler if he were always one step removed from humanity and unable to get any closer. I like that the Earl actually appears to care about the Noahs, though--it overturns the boss villain "You've failed, now I'm going to kill you" cliche. He's sure to be up to something, though. Well, obviously he's plotting the end of the world and a dozen other things, but in addition to that he could be manipulating the Noahs as well.
Yeah, Tiki's quite the personable, everyday guy in his hobo "normal" form. Then he goes and rips out people's internal organs and hangs them from lampposts. As a Noah fan, I really hope he'd choose the Noahs. And because of all the horrible murders he's committed. Noah or not, nobody forced him to kill people, so the Black Order would have to hold him accountable for crimes against humanity instead of saying "Well, he's good now, so that doesn't count!" STFU Allen "He has friends so he must be an okay person" Walker I guess if he's only Black Order members they could be considered enemy combatants killed during war. But I highly doubt he's only killed Order members, and even so his methodology is kind of, uh... objectionable. Disclaimer: I love Tiki.
*drags out random Shounen Jump issue* When Tiki says "big brother" he's putting an emphasis on it that suggests Sherril/Cyril/etc. isn't really his brother. It looks like the "brother" setup is all part of the fake family Sherril/Cyril and Rhode have going on. I bet Jasdero and Devit (and Skinn, when he was alive) were the uncouth American cousins. When I consider including Sherril in fics I always want to cast him as an antagonist towards the other Noahs, because God, he comes across as SUCH a pervert. FLASHBACKS! But didn't you know that all Americans are blond-haired, blue-eyed bisexuals with firearms? *cries*
I've changed it! Thanks for pointing it out. I need more concrit, so if you ever notice anything else, let me know. <3 I tried NaNoWriMo last year. Didn't get far and the story sucked, but when reading through it afterwards I was like, "Wow, I use a lot of adverbs." The same goes for many fics here. I'm now trying to do something about it.
:O It doesn't get much more threatening than that.
If they play their cards right they could make a fortune off mascara in the dgm world. XD
Though I have to wonder if he was human at one point but his sins made him less of one. Like in 'The Picture of Dorian Gray' which I think was one of the inspirations for the Earl. It would certainly explain why he suddenly goes around turning human and all. |D I think the Earl is definitely up to something, I have an inkling he's probably manipulating both sides for some reason. My theory is he's with the Noah because he can get something out of them, the same reason why Bookman and Lavi are with the Order. I mean if he's the 'thousand year old duke' and all...why did the Order only start fighting him 100 yrs ago? GAH, so much plot needs to be filled out. D:
AW Allen, that's just like you, being a sucker for a lost cause. For shame. Normal Tyki is such a flea-bitten mongrel compared to his suave, Noah self that it's almost laughable. True that, I don't think anyone could ever forgive him for what he's done except maybe Allen, but hey he's ALLEN but it does make me wonder if and when Tyki will decide to sever his ties with humanity and join the Noah entirely. Though the man behind the mask does seem certifibly mad, especially that creepy monster!Tyki that Allen accidentally released in the Ark. :O
Ah ok, that would make more sense. What a family; Sherril/Cyril/etc. the father/politician, Road the super cute daughter, the handsome bachelor Uncle Tyki, the Earl as a family friend...obviously Lulu Bell was someone's maiden aunt and Skinn and Jasdevi were the unmannered hick cousins from out of town. XDDD Oh god he is, he's so much more pedo over Road than Bak ever was with Lenalee, so I wouldn't be surprised if the others found him creepy. FLASHBACKS > LIFE. :O No I did not know that, but omg the imagery is indeed terrifying. D:
That's alright, you're more than welcome. X) <3 Oh geez, I've never attempted Nano before but a part of me would like to give it a go...once I actually get to the point where I can write with a decent speed. XD If I do it'd probably be fanfic, because at least the characters are already established. |D Less work on my part.
Yes. They show potential for fashion design too. In my mind, they're good at sewing, too.
That's a cool Earl theory. There's so much we don't know!
Allen forgives all! Which I love about him, but the part with Tiki made me roll my eyes. I bet Tiki's going to hang on to both his lives as long as he can. I don't think the other Noahs would approve, though. XD They certainly don't approve of his bathing habits. Yeah, monster-Tiki is insane. I don't think actual-Tiki was aware of anything in that state.
When it comes to Rhode, Sherril is portrayed as an overindulgent father gone way, way too far. But he was also perving on Tiki. A lot.
I'm planning to do NaNo again this year. At the moment I can't choose between three different stories, all woefully underdeveloped in their own ways. If I do plan things through beforehand, maybe I'll get farther than 13% this time!
