♥Yesterday. It's pretty much a blur, now. I haven't had adequate sleep and it's killing me T_T. But! The highlight of yesterday was attending Beta Alpha Psi's social, where a rep from Earnest & Young came and gave this flawless presentation on how to secure our future. Should I already be thinking about such things? >< I am no where near prepared, and listening to the guy speak made me want to take speech class, again xD. That's how impressed AND intimidated I was by him!

You know what's whack? I attempt to interpret things first in Chinese, then in English. More often than not, a group of people will be standing around talking really loudly on campus, and I'm like "他们在说什么?" (which basically translates to "I wonder what they are saying?"). Then as I get closer, I realize they've been speaking in English. The peculiar part is that not only was I raised in America, but my Chinese also really sucks. Really.

So, note to myself: Get into Beta Alpha Psi OR ELSE.

♥Today. First order of business! I talked to the International Business counselor regarding the language requirements for the program. I have to have fulfill the four 300 level and higher language classes, but in order to do so I would either have to stay an extra semester or take ridiculously expensive summer courses.

I didn't plan on applying for IB, so I've taken certain classes that met the required 200 level and higher cultural courses (foreign language, foreign film, foreign culture, etc) for a minor, and so I went ahead and already finished my Japanese minor. However, due to the nature of IB, these additional four 300 level and higher courses had to be of the actual language. Well, I've taken Japanese Culture (JAPA 340), so it counts for my Japanese minor, but not my IB major. So after explaining my situation to the IB adviser, she agreed to accept the Culture Class as one of the four language classes.

I don't know about you, but I'm really OCD about the cost of college and taking only what I need to.

While in the advisement waiting room, I ran into two friends. Turns out I'm going to be taking the same classes with them :D! Yay~~ In celebration (or maybe because we were hungry, haha), we went to Hero for dinner! Yay for spicy, Korean food~! A bunch of them went to see the Haunting in Connecticut, and as much as I love horror movies, I passed >< If it's anything like the Blair Witch Project, I'll pass.

Came home, and oi~~ TWO packages~ One purchased from seahorsejoanna and the other off eBay. I was really excited about opening the one from seahorsejoanna so I went ahead and opened it first :D! Oh my god, the pouch really is cute! As I was taking it out, a bunch of glittery Winnie the Pooh stickers fell out and I simultaneously fell in love with them. They are beyond, beyond cute! She even added soft padding into the Hello Kitty pouch in case it was a little too roomy for my camera. Well, actually, the camera fit amazingly snug, but I had to take out the extra padding, but THANK YOU FOR THE PADDING XD!

I took a closer look at each individual stickers and DO THEY ROCK OR WHAT XD? There's one with Pooh bent over the floor, aiming to shoot marbles (the intensity of that sticker sooo gets to me). There's another one with Pooh's signature-hands-behind-the-back-and-belly-forward pose that's just adorable too. If I had to choose between poking Pooh's tummy or the Philsberry Doughboy's tummy... I'd pick Pooh's~! There were some Tigger ones, but let's face it, EEYORE rocks them all! (Haha, okay, that's enough of that XD)

The jewelry (ring and bracelet) came in a really cute mesh drawstring pouch, which was just stunning! Oh, and last but not least, the item I always look forward too, the Thank You Memo! Hers was so cute *_* Wah~~ (Am I weird for saving all my Thank You Memos thus far?)

Now, for the two clothing items: maybe it was my high expectations, but the eBay clothing really disappointed me. The pink/white top looked so flowy in the display pictures, but when I tried it on, the shirt was really stiff. Parts of the ruffles kept sticking out with no way to even it out. I almost think I'm wearing a shirt made out of duck tape.

The yellow shirt was really cute, and I fell in love... Until I put it on all the way. You can't tell from the pictures, but while I'm all for runches in clothes, the lengths of the front and back are different... The fabric isn't stretchable, so there's no way for me to even adjust the runchings on the sides. The shoulders were really adorable, though. I would wear it as a tank or off-shoulder shirt. That was it's selling point. And oh god, the most disappointing aspect were the small, brown "dirt" dots that were scattered on both the front and back of the shirt. It's something I can overlook since no one is going to peer at my shirt to see them, but they're a real turn off. I hope I can wash it off without washing off the stitching.

Okay >< Actually, I want to rant a lot more, but the love for the items from seahorsejoanna are the only things stopping me from sulking T_T. Anyway~ Thank you seahorsejoanna! <3

Now, I leave you with some pictures~ (I also found out how to alter the camera's settings for clearer pictures, yay!)
