Title: Safe From Harm
Series: Aunt Sissy's Universe
Rating: G/Gen
Pairing: None
Word Count: 8,775
A/N: This is a second story in the Aunt Sissy Universe. It’s not a sequel to the first one,
Out of Harm’s Way, but more a companion peice that takes place a few years later. I enjoyed the first one so much, I was loathe to let Aunt Sissy go by the wayside.

First aid was not his strong suit, and Dad forever despaired of him. Jesus Christ, John! Can't you just stop it! (you'll make an Aunt Sissy into each one of us, yet!)
I love Dean in this, just can't get enough of the little boy solider. The bittersweetness of that last paragraph just kills me.
Love the riddles and Sammy's kind of creepy answers. I love Aunt Sissy's frown and how Dean can't bear it. Love this whole bit: Dean didn’t have the heart to tell Aunt Sissy that Dad normally didn’t let Sammy go in there on his own, there were all kinds of herbs that he might think were candy or something. Not until he was ten, Dad said. Sammy began digging through the first aid box, flashing Dean a look that said, check me out! Aunt Sissy defies Dad's absolute rule. Dean is awed by a power greater than Dad and Sammy revels in it! Very like them. :)

I'll be honest, I cracked myself up about the whole riddles thing. I was looking them up, trying to find weird ones, AND the answers, which isn't as easy as I thought.
"Dean is awed by a power greater than Dad." I LOVE THAT!!! Because it's true. Poor Dad. : D
He didn't know what hit him when he made her up.

Poor Dean - and even though he is a little troll-bitten, THAT sentence should have earned John a very 'accidental' use of iodine: "He disobeyed a direct order. He’s not supposed to think, he’s supposed to do as he’s told.”
Or at least she should have told Dean that not everything a Dad says is true. Bad John! Heel, sit, stay - bad, bad John!
