Leash!Fic
Okay, so I took the fun, fun, fun poll by
pheebs1. One of the questions was, what sort of fic do you see coming out of this ep?
There were lots of good ideas that people had, and I added to that. I also wanted to put my two cents in here, and expand on it...
It reads more like a confession than any two cents.
Remember when Ruby said: "Put a leash on your brother, Sam, if you want to keep him." ?
That particular statement brought all SORTS of dark images to my mind. I couldn't help it, really.
I had thoughts about Dean being out of control.
I had thoughts about Sam wanting to keep Dean. Close.
I had thoughts about Dean wearing a collar. One that Sam has put on him.
And that the collar is attached to a leash that Sam holds in his hands. :::hangs head:::
I had images of Dean not liking the collar and wanting it OFF, but to keep him safe, Sam's got to keep the collar ON.
I had inappropriate thoughts about Sam going into Hell to bring Dean out (which is not a new idea, although very fun to contemplate), and he's got to, uh, put a collar and a leash on, otherwise he might loose his brother on the way out.
Because, right, the demons in hell don't want Sam to be able to rescue his brother and so Sammy has got to prove that he's got his brother under control. That Dean belongs to HIM, and therefore, he's allowed to take him out.
Like, maybe there's a sign in a demonic park down there that says something along the lines of, "All minions must be on a leash."
I had ideas about Dean's pride coming up against Sam's determination to save him.
I saw brotherly conflict, and angst, and the DAMN collar...and the leash in Sam's hands.
I put it off to too much cold medicine and not enough sleep. Yes. That's it. But the way I figure it, I'm not the only one who thought this...who thinks that there will be fic come out of it.
