He’d wanted to ask her so many things.  He’d wanted to tell her that he’d known her father and the circumstances behind that.  He’d wanted to show her his one and only picture of Jess and tell her about how they’d met.  He’d wanted to tell her that despite what Dad’s journal looked like, there had been some good times.

Instead, he’d respected her
