Tired
That about sums up my day. Had to get up early to call the temp agency back, since I'm a moron and forgot to give them the new phone number when we moved. Mixed results on that - missed the job they called about because of them having on the wrong phone number, but it was only a one day thing and I probably would have missed it even if they did call my apartment since I was gone most of the day yesterday. They now have my cell phone number in addition to the correct phone and address. And I have a possible lead for a different job. So it's ok, I guess.
Spent the morning learning that ShopKo does not have maple syrup and holding Jimi's wood. Oh, please, we were making bookshelves. I love having an apartment big enough to be able to do that and then have a place to put the finished product when I'm done with it. Even better, we can get all of our books out of boxes and onto shelves and - gasp - organized. Maybe I'll actually be able to find something to read now. Nah, I've already read everything we own at least 2-3 times.
Spent the afternoon playing chauffeur for my mother. I call to ask her a simple question about Sunday and get dragged into driving her all over town. Long story, but the meds she's on right now mean she can't drive. They have literally run out of pain medications to give her, nothing works, so she is back on a patch. They want to try something that just got FDA approved last week and are waiting for it to arrive - pray to whatever you hold holy that this one works without any serious side effects, because she's losing her job over this and I do NOT want to keep getting dragged into doing all her driving for her.
Now we are off to Jimi's company picnic thing. Hey sacredspud, you thought it was bad having one in this weather during the day? Jimi's has been going all afternoon but is really just now getting started and it's going so late into the night that we have the option of camping at the park. I vetoed that. Actually, since he has to work tomorrow morning and I'm babysitting Peyton, we couldn't have anyway cuz we won't have time to pack the tent back up.
And now I am realizing that this is going to be a very long night, since I plan on spending it at my sister's to help her with the baby. Damn, I better get a good nap in tomorrow.
