So, a question to all my friends who write. Is it normal to have no idea what's going to happen in a story? Because I've been working on a novel for NaNoWriMo, based off an idea I've had fluttering around in my head for ... well, a few years, honestly. But the only thing I had any ideas for were two scenes... and those were the prologue and the first few paragraphs of the first chapter. So now, I'm just sort of faking it as I go along. I haven't run out of ideas yet, and I do have a basic idea for the story. And by basic I do mean basic... like, I know there's gonna be a quest. And possibly a love story. And there might be dragons. At some point. Very basic stuff.
Is that normal? Or is that just a sign that I really suck at writing?
