(no subject)
I'm about 80% moved in and set up. All of my books are now out of boxes and up on shelves - that part is psychologically huge for me. I have one medium box of random stuff, plus two small boxes of stuff the unpack; beyond that, it's all stuff that needs to get put away and/or donated to Goodwill - including some furniture.
I have determined that it is Too Expensive right now to upgrade my tv and dvd player the way I'd want to, but I've also determined that I might be able to get away with the TV sitting on the floor instead of on a table. I honestly don't watch television on my TV very often, and I'd only use it occasionally for movies.
I need to have a stepstool (yay being short), and I want to upgrade my kitchen sundries to stuff that isn't 10-15 years old. I think I need a free-standing cabinet of some sort to hold my glassware.
My cat is, at present, enjoying the place immensely. There are windows down at his height (he is not a jumper), and he loves hanging out by the balcony door when it's open. It's niffy out there, you know. He also loves having a stretch of space to run around in. He's not super active, but he has his flitty moments. And he's batting around some toys, which is good to see :)
