I didn't see TMBG last night

...which makes me unusual among my friends, it seems. Oh well, I wouldn't have recognized their music from the last few albums, and I'm not terribly fond of standing around in loud crowded places anyway.

Tonight I came home and took Jodi to dinner, where she told me about additional upcoming educational expenses, then I went out to buy Jodi four-packs of Red Bull and Starbucks Doubleshots, and then Jodi asked me to leave for the evening because she wants to hold an all-night paper-writing marathon in the dining room adjoining the living room where I sleep.

So I drove to Ybor City and bought a ticket for V for Vendetta. It was supposed to start at 9:10pm, but it was 9:25 before the movie finally started -- and when it did, it was The Wild. Five minutes later, the movie stopped suddenly, and by 9:45 I gave up and got a readmission pass, since I didn't want to stay in Ybor until midnight.

So I'm at a bit of a loose end. Fortunately, the USF library is open later than I'd care to be awake tonight, so I'll probably just sit here and stew about the mounting cost of getting into graduate school, which in turn is not exactly guaranteed to be fully funded. I'm looking forward to Friday so I can pay a big stack of bills. Not that I enjoy it as an activity, just that it'll be nice to be able to do so.

I should be sleeping, or doing dishes, or doing laundry, or cleaning catboxes, or writing an overdue crossword puzzle. At least the last of these would put me $40 closer to getting the camera I want (and the other $40 I'll get paid will go to a credit card company). But that software is on a computer at home, where I'm considered inconvenient if I'm not running errands for Jodi.

I loathe the last few weeks of the semester now in a way that I never did when I was a student. At least when I was a student I didn't have to wake up at 7am.

EDIT an hour later: All right, I just wanna crawl into bed and I don't care if the lights are on, I'll manage to fall asleep somehow. Hopefully I can get at least seven hours of sleep...
