Well, my car is very nearly no more. I rang up and cancelled half the insurance today (for which I will get a little over $100) and the rest will be cancelable once I hand in the number plates tommorow, which I've just removed. Then the canablising (sp?) begins to take every possible useable part from it. It served me fairly well for three years, well worth the $1000 I payed for it. The really annoying thing about the whole situation though is that it fell apart literally 2 days after I spent over $1000 getting it re-registered. I'll get some of that back, but not all.

Now comes the test of wether or not I can live without a car. I think I can. Unless I get large piles of shifts for work in remote places and my parents can't cope with the car borrowing that would result from it. I can't see that happening though as I have no shifts booked beyond the start of uni (in two weeks) and these things are usually booked two months in advance. So yes, now I can live a slightly more environmentaly friendly existence and have a slightly less guilty conscience.
