Still Alive
Hi ya’ll. You’re probably wondering just where the hell I’ve been lately (^_^’) (If you haven’t, that’s okay… but it hurts my feelings… *~*)
AnyWHO, I’m currently in the Pacific Northwest, attending my family reunion and the celebration of my grandparents’ 50th wedding anniversary. (Dude… 50 years… that’s like… FIVE DECADES!!! O_O) *gets thwapped*
Right now, we’re a’gatherin’ - I’ve got aunts, uncles and cousins coming in from all over the U.S. - lots of hugs and kisses and embarrassing stories all around, and the reunion hasn’t even officially started. One of my uncles has put together a video montage thingy of my grandparents’ wedding, raising their kids, and grandkids, so it’s guaranteed we’re all going to be sobbing into our sake cups at the banquet. Well, at least I know my mom and I will.
Last night, my two oldest cousins, Michy, and I went out to meet up with one of Michy’s old school chums (who also went to the same high school as I did, but since he was a junior when I was a senior, he technically did not exist. *~.^*) Turns out he’s attending grad school in the area, and happens to be a Nightwish fan. (Hmmmm… too bad I’m not into younger guys.) We hit a popular dessert bar in town, and just talked and had fun. I managed to be sociable, which impressed everyone (I don’t know why they had to make such a fuss, tho…) And the raspberry ganache dessert I had meant I had to run five miles this morning, but that’s okay…
So - must dash. We’re heading off on the road trip that will bring everyone together at long last, and I need to eat breakfast before I get punchy from sugar depravation. (Not that anyone’d be able to tell the difference…)

P.S. - Have seen POTC2 twice, once with Michy back home, and once with a couple of my younger cousins here. I :heart: evil!scruffy!Norrington! *squee~!*
