commit these words to memory
Today was a great day. It started of with the Biochemistry exam that I didn't study for. I took it in the middle of a freezing cold room - so cold that I passed my exam without finishing it. :\ Stupid mistake. Boo.
Changed immediately after the exam and waited for the Bboys to finish. I grabbed money from 1010, because I left my money at home, as Mom was rushing me out of the house. Cedric, Maki, Mark, Miguel and I headed to Makati, originally to visit Cable Car, which Maki's brother now currently part-owns. Cable Car was unfortunately still closed, but we decided to head to Glorietta instead. Usual car ride shenanigans ensued - banter and girl-talk mostly. A tenuous moment however when Maki and Co. were trying to convince me that I was "too angry" and that I should make friends with a certain someone already. That pissed me off and had me in a mood of sorts for a bit. We roamed around Glorietta before deciding that we would eat at Friday's (surprise, surpise :p ). I got to visit Cook's Exchange, which was friggin' awesome as usual. I wanted to buy an offset spatula and some whisks and stuff, but I didn't have enough money. I had a salad at Friday's (again, surprise surprise). Then we headed to Greenbelt, so Mark could buy his birthday gift for his mom while Cedric, Maki, Miguel and I roamed around.
First we gawped outside Gelatissimo, looking at all the flavors of gelato they had. Maaaan. It all looked so tempting. Then we headed to Cutting Edge and poked around at the gadgets. A few notable things: an R2D2 wastebasket (!!!), a Star Wars poker set (!!), Tinkerbell playing cards for Mark (harharhar), a glow-in-the-dark light bulb, among many others. Then we popped inside Kidz Station to look for a Magic 8 Ball for Cedric's girlfriend. Other notable things: plastic Star Wars lightsabers (!), a glass lightsaber that makes the sound effects and lights up (!!!), stupid-ass Speed Stacks, and other fun toys. Passed by Hobbes and Landes too, and looked at the really fun stuff - puzzles, Lego headlamps (!!!), Lego torchlights and lamps, and there was a Lego Star Wars Darth Maul Watch (!!!). Migi and I also had fun with the educational toys for kids. ♥
We headed back to UST, and it was another snarky car ride. So fun. Mark and I convinced Miguel and Cedric to hit the gym. I ran around getting stuff ready, so I started the latest among the four of us, but I finished first. It was a really good workout. The treadmills were taken, so I ended up running 25 laps around the small track oval by the Sport Science laboratory (aka the gym). Went through my normal routine. Felt really good after.
I rode with Mark to the Gilmore LRT station in New Manila. It was a fun car ride, as usual. Mark and I are generally stupid together. It was a really good soundtrip to the Beach Boys, Boyz-II-Men and Brian McKnight - complete with sing-along theatrics. Banterbanter.
Bought more stuff for baking when I reached Gateway, then I walked home. Mom got pissed with me for arriving AFTER she did, but it was generally fine. I also arrived to a working broadband service, so that was friggin' awesome after a week of roughing it.
Baked Cedric's peanut butter cookies and JP's & Cedric's chocolate cake. Am now waiting for the chocolate cakes to cool, so I can hopefully layer and frost them. Am scared they're stuck to the pan tho. :\ Here's to hoping.
