(no subject)
Lots of big things going on, I suppose, but I went through another one of my -I forgot about Livejournal- phases of no typing ever. I'm moved to Houston now! The first apartment I tried to move into was scary with lots of roaches, so I was lucky enough to be able to get out of that and now I'm staying at Cris's parents' house til I can find somewhere else. I hate intruding, but they've been very sweet. I'm feeling frustrated that I can't work on the many costumes that I want to do right now, but I'm working steadily towards finding somewhere, which is proving to be rather difficult. I'm absolutely loving being closer to Cris though. He's so amazing in every way. I'm so ridiculously in love. I'm finally getting over being terrified of how much he holds my heart in his hand, and I'm soaking up all the joy I can. I do miss him when an awful lot when he's not around though.
The new job is going fine. It's just sorting papers, and it can be physically demanding, but it's really ok.
Tangled Ever after came out! It's adorable and silly and I love it. I'm also super tickled at the surprising amount of merchandise that just got released for it at the Disney Store too. My amazing darling reserved me one of the Limited Edition dolls of Rapunzel in her wedding dress, but with the short hair!(the other dolls have long blonde hair with her wedding dress, which is totally stupid). I also have gotten a Flynn plushie, a Pascal plush in his wedding get-up, and a doll of Flynn in his wedding outfit. And of course we have to cosplay those outfits, so we're shooting to have those for the formal dance at Afest this year.
Speaking of cosplay, I'm really itching to work on stuff. My fingers are itching to sew, and I can't ;; I still have to get our Hunger Games outfits ready, and I'm not sure what we're doing for Matsuri. The formal dance planning is rolling along for that too. The only costumes that I'm completely set on doing for A-kon are the Interstella ones. Also, we've got Avengers in May, which we're totally gonna rock the premiere of. If those outfits turn out well I'm sure we'll be wearing them at cons later this year too.
Anywho, Houston is fun, but I do get lonely sometimes. Anais lives too far away to really see regularly, and I really don't know anyone else here. Poor Cris is busy so often with his schoolwork that I don't usually get to see him much other than the weekends. But it's fine. As soon as a I find a place to get settled in to I'll feel a lot better.
Cris just had his Spring Break, so he was here at the house all week, which was really super. I worked during the days mon-fri of course, but at night we played Borderlands and just cuddled and stuff. We also went to see The Grey(which is about Liam Neeson vs. wolves) and The Lorax. It's a bit eerie how much the Once-ler looks like Cris. Like Flynn does, but cute instead of sexy. So Cris is basically Flynn and the Once-ler combined. Also he has fantastic outfits, and I've been trying so hard to get Cris to agree to cosplay him. I think we may come to some sort of CG kids movie cosplay arrangement where I'm Coraline and he's the Once-ler, so that he won't be alone and I can finally be Coraline! But this week was fun, but now I'm back to being Cris-less and kind of sad most of the time. I'd feel a lot better if I could be productive, but I'll get there soon enough I suppose.
