(no subject)
Well I tried my best to Christmas shop this year, and well I could not do it. The majority of my family is over 60, most into their 80's. To sound really dramatic, I just could not fight with parking,crowds and fend off homeless people to get a sweater or some such for a person who does not need it, or want it.
I ended up making out cards for my family explaining that I was donating the money I would have spend on gifts for the adults in the family to a food pantry and homeless shelter near them. It just seemed like the right thing to do. The area where my family lives was economically depressed before the current situation. It is devastated now. I did get gifts for my sister's kids and my daughter. We will see how it goes....
The other thing I discovered is that my calligraphy is not as good as it used to be. I need to spend some time to refine that skill.
