In this one, I really liked the idea of Luke distracting Reid by having food while playing chess.

I love that they're talking about how to make their relationship successful in the future. So smart and logical. And I adore that Luke beat Reid at chess. I can imagine Reid's chagrin at that.
Well done! I think that with every chapter you're adding more layers to the story and making it so more rich and rewarding to read.

I'm sorry to rain on your parade, but obviously I didn't wrote that clearly enough... it was Reid doing the checkmate, I'm afraid.
But I'm working on the next one and they're both winning at the end:-)

We're on the same wavelength on this one! To me it makes sense, even though Reid didn't show it (too much, but I did sense it in some ATWT scenes)
And you're right... it's all about communication and - just like you - I'm looking forward to explore and experience how they are gonna manage this.
