“Come, let’s go back to bed. You can cry on my shoulder,”

I need that too right now. This is heartbreaking.

Ah, Lucinda, always ready to fight until the end and beyond for the people she loves...

It sounds like Danny is going to have a long road ahead of him. It's good fate brought him to Luke and Reid.

Very powerful chapter.

WOW, dear syl, our co-working vibes are simply astonishing.
You'll see, when I continue to post Lucinda's boy again.)

Sad, but well-captured scene!

I'm not surprised! We're surfing on the same vibe, that's for sure! Looking forward to finding out what you mean. I don't think I read Lucinda's boy yet. Being too AU for my taste. But by now I'm a huge fan of your writing, so when I find some time, I'll go and find it:-)

Yes, I know, what you mean: too AU. I am getting only more familiar with the whole Oakdale-universe because of YOUR wonderful series!

That poor, poor boy! It just breaks my heart! How can someone do that to a child? I just don't understand.

I am so happy that Luke and Reid decided to take him in. They're both clearly wonderful with children. I know they will be able to give him the loving, supportive home he needs and deserves.

He smiled at his screen, “Faith writes on behalf of Ethan that Danny can have his train set.”

“Ah…and he loves that train,” Reid smiled, “so that’s a very sweet offer.”

Ethan has obviously learned his loving, caring ways from his big brother. How sweet of him to offer his own toys to Daniel!

Great chapter, syl! I love this little family!

I'm with you all the way. I don't understand how anyone can do this to a child. Or to an adult, for that matter.

I LOVED how you called him Daniel. For some reason that warmed my heart, so I won't be surprised if - along the way - that turns out to be his full name.

I was surprised that the boy's name was Danny, because there's already a Dan in the story. So I checked and dubble checked, but I did hear it right... the boy's name is Danny:-)))

Oops! I don't know why he just registered in my brain as Daniel! Even the quote says Danny. *facepalm* I'm glad that you liked it instead of thinking of me as not paying attention! LOL

The brain works in mysterious ways, doesn't it? That's probably why Reid is so fascinated with it!

I honestly didn't think that for one second (that you were not paying attention)

If anything, it felt intimate. Like you know our Danny for a long time and you know stuff I don't know (like his full name, hahahaha)

Yeah, the brain works in mysterious ways. And so does life:-)
