Very lovely description of Luke coming home and finding Reid sleeping, and the laziness of them being together.
Luke didn’t protest and their embrace made him smile and warm. He could feel Reid’s fingers softly sliding over his ring finger. Luke wasn’t sure if he should welcome this tender gesture or be worried about it. Especially because Reid started doing that after the whole ring incident. Did Reid need confirmation the ring was still there? Thought this was especially lovely.
Lily chuckled. “Funny you say that, because that’s exactly how I feel around him. Like a five year old.” I think this is the root of Lily's distaste for Reid. It's all about how Reid makes her realize her shortcomings, just by being a much more stable and confident person.
I know, drinking and reading Lilylines at the same time - it's just too dangerous! Coffee all over my laptop... ;)
It's nice to see Luke feels hope, but I'm not so sure yet and that is probably because I'm a less optimistic person, it has nothing to do with the fact that this is soap, or has it?!
Loved the insight to how Luke and Reid felt about their evening apart. Luke may be picking up on an insecurity of Reid's that Reid isn't aware of with the ring thing.
I'm glad Lily and Luke were able to talk a bit. I think they need to limit their interaction to the phone for a while. It may help them heal.
I do believe that beyond/behind/above all confusion, chaos, hurt pain ... there is a deep and inviolable harmony or maybe better:WHOLENESS in life, in space.
And I feel that in your words and it made me happy and humble!
