Rollercoasters rock!

Jul 04, 2008 12:47

There is absolutely nothing better than going to a major amusement park, getting in an hour early and riding the sweetest rollercoaster right off the back!  I mean this thing had corkscrews, loops, hills and was so damn smooth! Now that's the way to start a day!

And then there were no crowds! So we actually managed to do 8 rollercoasters in ~3 hours!  A very good day.  We were supposed to stay for 2 but it was storming the second and we came back early. Ah well.

However the main goal of the trip was accomplished. My stress levels are back down to a managable level. I'm not likely to throat someone at work, which was getting next to impossible. I've been bad enough they have even told me that I was quite "testy". Let alone not being online hardly at all and finding something to keep my mind off it. Normally I do behave at work but my stress/pain levels have been through the roof this last month.

Best part. I only have 1 more week of pain left.  It's going to be an afternoon procedure this time around which may be interesting since I wake up so well from anesthesia, but there wasn't lots of choice.

People give you the funniest looks when you try to explain if they just bear with you til after the midpoint of the month,  you will be a completely different person.  I've given up explaining honestly. They've no clue I've been dealing with chronic pain since Februaryish. They can't see it on my face. And I've not slowed down too much until just recently. And then they had a reason to suspect I was ill.  ("Did you have the flu? Oh..yeah. You did say you hadn't been well, didn't you.") I think all in all it's a good thing I'm off from Wed afternoon til after it's all done next week.  I know I'm very closed to throating several of them in there and while I would enjoy it at the time, it would be BAD for long term aftermath.

Anyway, Rollercoasters were excellent! Fireworks tonight! Fireworks tomorrow! And lots and lots of nothing to do! A very good recipe for me!
