First, sorry for not responding to anyone sooner, apparently I logged out of my account and failed to realize this for, well.. a long time. Yep. Definite sign my brain's been to fuzzled to work right. And yep, that means time to go get cut and slashed to figure out why again. For those that might care, I had yet another round of laproscopy two days ago and the bright side.. there was no endometriosis or anything worrying this time. In fact, the doctor seems reasonably pleased that this time..he might just have fixed it. Course, this is just one in a long string of similar procedures over the last decade (has it really been that long and that many surgeries, sigh.) I can't even remember them all to list for the paperwork anymore and she still ran out of lines to fill that information in. If I make it past the 2 year mark without issue, I might just believe him. Until then, I take it day at a time just like always.
But on to the giggles! (As I hold my belly to keep the stitches from hurting!)
So my Dad decides that he needs to help me out this time after the surgery. A first mind you but hey, he's trying! So he volunteers to take both my kids this afternoon for an 'adventure'! OH DEAR! *giggles*
Please bear in mind that the man has never ever dealt with kids really, including me and my siblings. And please bear in mind that my children are very much alphas. One definite feline, one definite wolf (love him dearly but he's not subtle at all). And I just put the trio together to go for an adventure! I'm sure I'll be laughing about this one for a bit!
Dad's guidance was "let the kids show me where they like to go around there". Oh dear! While one knows exactly where she wants to go and how to get there, the other is.. geographically challenged. He gets lost just going out to eat! Mostly because he doesn't pay attention and it's not his concern. *snicker*. Soooo... they headed off to go twenty miles South of here for a bit to some nice parks, then back twenty miles northeast of there to play putt-putt then back home. Sounds simple right? They even have a map and the places they are going are on major roads. Shouldn't be an issue right?? *giggles* Did I mention my Dad gets lost coming to my house every time? He still has to stop and call me for directions after 5 years and he is up here often.
So yeah, this should be amusing to see how they fare. Both kids will try to bull past the other to get what they want. And he's got them giving directions! If they weren't able to fend for themselves and know the numbers home, I wouldn't have let them go. But this.. just amused me far to much to tell him no. I don't know which amuses me more, them dealing with him or him dealing with them. Should be fun to listen too regardless.
