+ Today, my studying went very well, and it makes me happy! :D
+ I continued sorting my CDs... and found more fabulous stuff I had forgotten! Like some Jpop albums I bought back in 2000 when I went to Japan, and a couple of anime soundtracks I bought zillions of years ago! Bubblegum Crisis soundtrack, so late eighties rock and in Japanese! And I even remembered some of the lyrics (yeah, I'm a dork)... and my my username came from the name of one of the Bubblegum Crisis characters, Sylia Stingray! Rediscovering these gems is great, I'm uploading lots of those songs to my iPod! And I still have 11 GB to fill up with more pretty & favorite songs! yay!
+ BF & I had yummy frappuccinos at Starbucks and later we went to the Corte Inglés (the department store of the department stores here in Madrid), which is close to where I live. I've seen several lovely perfumes (obviously I WANT them all, especially Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Grosselina), we browsed the new dvd releases, and I bought the Rescue Me season one dvds.... and as soon as I finish this post I'm going to start mainlining the the dvds! I LOVE this show as well as Dennis Leary, and he is fantastic and hilarious! When I first saw the show I was expecting it to be all drama, I love all those touches of humor here and there, they make the show even more appealing... and the charisma of Dennis Leary!
+ What's with Clay Aiken's hair in the American Idol finale? My eyes! My eyes! He has a beautiful voice, but that hair is just so WRONG!
+ BSG time.... The David Eick's interview with Ausiello is up on the
Ausiello Report at the TV guide website. The interview is quite vague though there are some hints to season three stuff....
He talks about baby Hera. Also about the death in episode 3; he says that There will be severe ramifications if the secret is leaked., WHATEVER. Doesn't everybody (who is spoiled) know already it's Ellen? He promises that we will finally get a sense of how the Cylon culture operates from within their base ship, and talks some interesting stuff about basestars... though the "they are living being themselves" is NO BREATHTAKINGLY ORIGINAL at all, David! *coughMoyacough* I gotta say that his commentary about how "completely unhumanlike the method of operating a base ship is. The very idea that Cylon technology is all about organic life and mechanistic life cohabitating is taken to the next step in the Cylon base ships. " makes some the creepy artwork by H.R.Giger come to mind! *shudders* Anyway, I'm so looking forward to knowing more about the Cylon culture (apart from the fact that their number 5 is their favorite barista at the Cylon Starbucks branch, and the gardener centurions! *hee*). He also talks about that new character that comes with a very dark secret about something Adama did in the past we already knew about.
As most people had already predicted after watching LDYB2... depressed Lee with a dash of noodles! About overweighted!Lee:
I can tell you that the character of Lee is going to be battling an emotional crisis that's manifesting itself in a change in his physique, which is something I think many Americans, unfortunately, can relate to. I'm certainly one of them.
He had put on some weight at the end of last season, and I think we're going to see that idea maintained, and we're going to see what the character does about it.
And the Roslin/Apollo dynamic many people, including myself, missed in season 2.5, is back! This makes me incredibly happy! YAY!
Yes. You're going to see a newfound trust between them. And you're also going to see that there are many ways in which Laura continues to turn to Lee when she's unable to get answers from Adama.
About Kara/Lee...
Apollo and Starbuck are always going to have a very unusual relationship. It's never going to be as simple as an unrequited love. It's never going to be as platonic as brother and sister. It's never going to be [just] professional. It's never going to be two people who like to screw and then go back to work. It's all of the above and none of the above. It's just not a simple relationship, and I think in that way it's much closer to a lot of male-female relationships that remain mysterious for years and are never entirely resolved to be one thing or the other. I think there's always a bit of murkiness about that. And we intend to continue to investigate that timeless male-female dynamic
Today I'm all whatever-y, and all that mumbo jumbo just gave me a frakking headache. Whatever, David Eick... they are but they are not, they are Lee and Kara but maybe not, they are Kee and Lara but maybe not, maybe they are complex and maybe not... W.H.A.T.E.V.E.R. Just a simple "the Kara/Lee will still be present" was enough for me!
Then I read the following lines, and being rotten spoiled, as I am, they cracked me up real good:
Ausiello: How does her new hubby Sam fit into all this?
Eick: They will experience some of the difficulties that newlyweds will recognize as being pretty consistent with the kinds of problems that people who are struggling with a young marriage are dealing with.
Hmm, yeah... right... *syliasyliasylia attempts impersonating Office Space's Lumberg here * Are you talking about the kind of problems that "see the truths that float past you in the stream" *snickers*
Is it October yet!
