I haven't been able to watch Crossroads part 1 yet... *WAILS*
Hi!!! *waves*
I'm alive.... but thanks to how much my house's power supply is sucking this days I'm not using my computer much because I'm totally afraid it might die on me again! Electricity in this area is acting wonky lately... Basically, electricity comes and goes in the blink of an eye almost constantly!!!! If one pays enought attention, one can notice how when the light is one the light emitted by a lightbulb blinks!!!! EEEKKKK!!!!!! And super "sensitive" electronic devices like my computer or the tv just restart suddenly!!! EEEK!!!!! In my last post I was all victorious and winning at life after installing a new power supply unit in my computer after the previous one was "fried"... well, the cause was this problem with the power supply of this area of Madrid! My friend T lives at a couple of subway stations from where I live and she says something similar is also happening there. I hope this is sorted out soon or I'm going to call my power supply provider and complain until I get blue in the mouth!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Being deprived of everything electric/electronic is making me NOT VERY HAPPY!!!!!! This situation is especially irritating in the morning! For instance, today I haven't been able to use anything electric/electronic that doesn't work with batteries until approximately five o'clock in the afternoon!!! *sulks*
... son since Thursday I've read a LOT!!!!! All those books I ordered last week have finally arrived today *snuggles her shiny books happily* and now I'm reading 5 books at the same time *hee*... I read a couple of chapters from one book and the I pick another and read a couple of chapters, rinse and repeat!!!! My To-Read pile at the moment consists of:
1. You Suck, a love story by Christopher Moore, which has like the best opening EVER:
"You bitch, you killed me! You suck!"
Tommy had just awakened for the first time as a vampire. He was nineteen, thin, and had spent his entire life between states of amazement and confusion.
*hee*... So far the book is HILARIOUS!!!! At least as hilarious as Bloodsucking Fiends, which was about a young woman coping with her new life as a vampire, some characters appear in both books... and I find myself cracking up with each page I read! SERIOUSLY!!!
2. I'm rereading A Clash of Kings... again... my friend T says I have a problem with my addiction to ASOIAF... um... I don't care!!!! I'm LOVING IT AND I CAN'T WAIT TO FINISH IT TO START REREADING A STORM OF SWORDS FOR THE NTH TIME!!!! *flails*
3. Jim Butcher's Fool Moon... I'm loving The Dresden Files, both the book series and the tv series so much!!!!
4. Lois McMaster Bujold's The Warrior's Apprentice. Another reread!!!
5. Deborah Wright's The History of Lucy's Love Life in 10 1/2 Chapters... so far is being a really fun read!
6. And last but not least, Susanna Clarke's The Ladies of Grace Adieu
... and still I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO WATCH BSG AND IT'S PISSING ME OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *insert here Sylia's Wrath of DOOM* ... it seems that tonight the internet fairies and the electricity gremlims are being merciful... and probably in an hour or so I'll be able to finally watch the frelling episode!!! I'll keep my fingers crossed!!! I hope it's worth it because right now I need happy fandom things (like a superb BSG episode) to cheer me up!!!!
BTW, how was Crossroads part 1 like? Was it any good?
PS: And I almost forgot saying that there was a Loreena McKennitt concert in Barcelona last Sunday AND I DIDN'T KNOW IT!!!!! In fact, I found out about it today!!! OH NOES!!!!!!!!! And it doesn't seem there's going to be a concert here in Madrid at all!!!!!!!!! See! I NEED HAPPY THINGS AT THE MOMENT!!!*pouts and is off to the kitchen to prepare dinner*
