D-Day ... +4
I pressed "Post to Syleth" on that last post last Wednesday, and thought I was done with pre-birth posting. Quite obviously not.
The last 4 days have been pointedly uneventful. Total achievements include
making some custom black-out curtains for the nursery (it gets very bright in there in the afternoon)
going to see Green Lantern (disappointing) after pizza for dinner (not disappointing at all)
watching the world's most boring GP (Valencia) - really put Canada (long but mad!) into perspective.
built a small Ikea desk - to replace our whole office, kind of!
unprecedented amounts of email, texting, msging and phone calls from well-wishers - thank you to everyone - it was lovely :)
watched hundreds of hours of TVs, usually while in a slightly odd position (to try and hint to Wriggly that back-to-back is not the way to go).
cat-napped, but still not slept a whole 7 hours through
dropped into hospital for some monitoring, just to check that she hasn't nipped off!
Bit grumpy, to be perfectly honest, to be facing into another week of waiting - with no sign whatsoever of her arriving. Every day that she delays, reduces the number of days of maternity leave I'll be able to spent with her. Fingers crossed for tonight then.
