School, Scholarships, etc.
So, it begins. I have until August to find a car and tuition for school. I spent most of tonight going through FastWeb. Would have applied for FASFA but need my PIN.
I'm going for Forensic Science, though it is still open. Who knows what I'll end up majoring in. There are some many subjects that hold my interests: Forensics, Theology, Psychology, Accounting, Computer Information Science... and then there's also going for a Paralegal. Not exactly what I want to do, but I have enough knowledge to where I'd be good at it.
Hopefully I'll be able to apply and qualify for the Pell Grant. That will be the best. But until I know whether I qualify or not, I'm going to be busting my ass on writing essays for scholarships. I'm also thinking about doing the L. Ron Hubbard one where you write a short story, novel or novella (up to 17,000 words). We'll see.
Need a job too. Did apply for Family Video but they don't know their ass from a hole in the ground... quite literally... I was supposed to receive a call last week about the final interview, but no word. *shakes head* I'm looking. The other day I scoured the phone book looking for places to call. Found a few. Only a few are hiring. One place is called "Thyme to Heal Herbs". Never been inside, but its not too far from where I'm living. I'll head down there one day and check it out. Going either tomorrow or Thursday over to WorkOne to see what they have about local employment. Here's to finding something close! *schulle*
Now I'm going to relax and wait for Kris to come home. Have a few books I want to finish by Monday. Peace.
