the whole time I was reading this, I kept having a thought pop into my skull. the thing that would've made this a little funnier: what if one of them would've hit the intercom button while they were in the cockpit? the line about Claire thinking about all those people on the other side of the door made me think of it. I'm a little surprised it didn't happen, but then again...there's always more opportunities for future incidents.

honestly though, this was amazingly good. keep it up!
