After ages of being on hiatus, finally I had the courage to write a fanfic again. And alas, I broke my Heroes fic cherry. And if that wasn't enough...it's a Sylar/Claire-centric fic.
Written for the
sylaire_chall community, based on the prompt: Empire.
Title: Hubris, the Fatal Flaw, or how Sylar and Claire ended up discussing Shakespeare.
Author:
leafie_phoenix Pairing: Sylar/Claire
Word Count: 3377
Rating: PG-13, or T :)
Warning(s): Spoilers for Shakespeare's Julius Caesar, brief mentions of events in S3, particularly 3.1 and 3.13.
Notes: this is longer than what I intended, so sorry if you find it too carried away. My first time writing Sylar/Claire, or a Heroes fic in general, so I'm really sorry if this is utterly out of character. And...it's unbeta'd. All mistakes are mine. *facepalm*
Summary: English literature hasn't been her strongest subject. And he, of all people, provided her with the answers she needed. Sylar and Claire unwittingly find themselves discussing Shakespeare's Julius Caesar, unaware of how the parallelism will cause them to take a different look into their own lives.
("Hubris?" a deep, baritone voice chuckled sardonically.)
