Vegetative action
...saving money, that is.
Haven't really been updating my LJ, but I haven't been doing much lately either. Some things of mention...
- Went to celebrate John's B-day over at Hydrate, in Boystown. Actually had fun that night, despite the fact that a guy hit on me and some person palmed my un-ass in crowd where the nearest woman was probably a room over. Heh, the slushies rocked there.
- Catching up with stuff, including some tennis, video games, IIDX, and music.
Tennis: Somehow, I think I haven't gotten worse than when I went to Japan, heh.
Video games: Now that poke-mania is around (AKA Adam and J. Pham), now I'm resolved to find some emus and ROMs just to play.
IIDX: Since I really can't be spending money, what better thing to do? New hard clears include ERASERMOTOR PHANTOM (another), FAKE TIME (another), and One More Lovely (another). Only two more songs left to clear outright on console IIDX on 7-key, Scorpion Fire (another) and Mei (another). BTW, both of those songs I've gotten over 70% on so I'm really close to passing them.
Music: Caught up on what I heard and what was popular in Japan, and now I'm basically up-to-date on my J-Music. Some good artists I've heard lately are mihimaru GT, ACIDMAN, and KREVA... ask me for some music if you wish to listen.
- Chilled at Chris' a few times, saw how the new Madden was, and it looks absolutely great. Persona 3 looks really interesting to me, I may pick it up sometime. I'm overdue for a new RPG anyhow.
- The house flooded, again. The big storms out along the Midwest and Great Lakes regions hit hard, with Chicago being no exception. Our gutters are messed up, and that meant that all the rainwater was falling like a waterfall in front of my room. That torrent of water eventually seeped in and stank up our entire basement. Honestly though, saying the water level out on the street was halfway up to our car tires, I thought it'd be a lot worse. And thankfully, our electricity didn't go out like other areas did.
- Soooo many things to save money for now... a wedding, birthdays, alcohol, airfare, and of course food, heh. Looks like this hermit status'll stay for a while.
