I went and saw quarantine tonight. What a putrid experience that was. It was at the metreon aka the dying mall. I don't know the company that runs it but it was one of the worst movie experiences I've ever had. Everything was getting played twice or more. Franktv add 2x. Movie factoids 2x fandango commercial2x one got a threepeet. The movie itself? Great acting for the most part, great characters, decent story. The killer? The camera work. POV yeah I get it. They were supposed to be using a tv station camera. A mino on a bungee cord strapped to a dying fish doesn't have the crap pov effect that this movie has. They had to have added MORE POV effects in post production. I haven't left a movie since grease2. The only reason. I didn't this time was the 11 bucks I shelled out to waste an hour and forty minutes. 2 scenes where actually accentuated by the pov. Everything else could have been done in third person and this film would have been amazing even if it is a rip off of the French <>. I think that's what chaps my ass the most about this flick. HUGE potential. But the director was flogging the gimmick to death as opposed to using it for punch. Seriously unless they do a special edition steadycam version even if it's free on ondemand I would turn to the pick up artist as a better way to kill time.
