Foamy: The Death of the Physical Market
My take on this situation. If you buys cds, you have a stockpile somewhere. If one gets severely damaged, you still have the rest to listen to in the abscence of that one CD.
If something were to incapacitate your mp3 players/computer/both, ALL of your music is gone. Unless you have backups. Which most people do not.
Given the alternative, I'd rather let 1 CD break, & still be able to enjoy the rest of my music, instead of letting them ALL die collectively on a single device.
Just some food for thought.
