Finals coming up soon! I definately got a C in my art class, there's no final and it was pretty tough. But I'm thinking Bs for everything else, depending on how well I do on those finals. So yeah, time to study.
I went to McDonalds today, and saw the Happy Meal toy. It's a collection of Kid's Bop CDs, with about five songs on each. Now, it doesn't surprise me that Kid's Bop wants to advertise to children, but I think it odd that the toy in the Happy Meal is a CD. I mean, what happened to the plushies, action figures, and toy tools? I didn't even have a CD player until I was like 14. Is the compact disk just such an old technology that it's a child's play thing now?
On a completely different topic, I'm getting pretty enthusiastic over my Pokemon training. I just encountered a Smeargle by accident and caught it, but afterwards decided to train it. Smeargle is pretty unique, in that it has access to virtually every move in the game due to its attack, Sketch (permanently copies foe's previous move). But its stats are pretty lame, so here's what I plan to do: Train a Ninjask, which can speed boost like there's no tomorrow, then Baton Pass the boost onto Smeargle so it'll attack first. Then I Spore the foe (100% accuracy sleep induction, normally known by only two pokemon in the game), then lay down a layer of Toxic Spikes, so when the opponent switches the next pokemon will become poisoned. That pokemon will probably damage Smeargle, but I'll have Focus Sash ready (hold item that prevents a one-hit KO by leaving one HP left), then I'll hit back with Endeavor (Foe's HP drops to same level as my pokemon), and the foe will die from poison. Of course a flying-type/steel-type/levetator with immunity to Toxic Spikes, or a Ghost-type pokemon with immunity to Endeavor, or just a faster pokemon, throws a wrench in the plan. No pokemon strategy is fool-proof. Heck, one Taunt will force me to switch out my Smeargle if I couldn't Spore in time. The more I play Pokemon, the more I see it like a game of Go; prediction and reading the opponent is everything. Also it's fun to pick up but pretty darn hard to truly master.
