1. What are your goals in life?
I'm pretty open-ended when it comes to answering this question. I'm usually the kind of guy who doesn't think too far into the future. Obviously I want a fun and well-paying career, I suppose everyone wants that. But I guess my main goal is trying to be the best person I can be, spend time with friends, have fun, etc. Marriage and having a family is a possibility, though at this moment I don't think it's crucial to have a family in order to live a fulfilling life.
2. What is your favorite anime/manga series and why?
If you had asked me this six years ago, the answer would have been Cardcaptors. However, ever since joining the anime club and being introduced to new things all the time, the answer isn't black and white anymore. It's like asking which Powerpuff Girl do I like better. But I guess if I had to pick just one at this point in time, it might be Azumanga Daioh. Each character has unique and attractive qualities, and this series proves that you don't need magic and dragons to make a great story. I remember when I first heard of it, I thought "it's about some girls who go to high school and that's it? So what?" but it's just so much more.
3. If you could suddenly know how to play an intstrument as well as the clarinet, what would it be?
That would be the piano, hands down. Few other instruments allow you to play a harmony like you can with the piano. In fact, just recently I printed out the sheet music for this song, one of my favorite video game songs. I can play it on my clarinet, but without the other line on the bass cleft, it just doesn't sound right. On piano I can play it at about half the tempo in the video, so I certainly wish I was as good at it as I am on the clarinet.
4. If you created a video game, what would be the story, and why would it be awesome?
My own video game, huh? Well, I've always wanted to see a game that was half RPG, half fighting game. So it'd be your typical saving the world RPG, until you touch an enemy and go to the battle screen. Then it's like a fighting game, where you can perform special moves by pressing the right buttons. When you obtain more than one playable character, you can switch which one you're fighting with mid-battle, like in Naruto Gekitou Ninja Taisen. So your main character could be the standard Ky Kiske type, another mostly long range, one that's a tank character, etc. Of course, you could also use items by pausing the fight and selecting one from there.
5. If you were elected president, what would you do first?
Make Fanime bi-annual. None of this once a year thing. I'd have to raise taxes to pay for it, but I think it's worth it. :D
