(no subject)
so, I'm skimming the web again, and there's 2 jobs at the British Museum, and I could do either of them without breaking a sweat.
Close of applications 30th April.
Ok, so they're only for £13,500 pa and it's London prices and there's a world of reasons to stay in Birmingham but...
EDIT: TO ENSURE I AM SENSIBLE AND FULLY AWARE OF THE IMPLICATIONS
* Job apps finish 30th april. That's 2 weeks to interview, then poss another 2 weeks to employ. This takes me to start of june, when I need to have signed another contract in birmingham with Joe, Kat and Ross to ensure I have a place to live should this job not pan out. It also leaves me deeply limited time to find place to live in london should job pan out.
* the money, for london, is pitiful. I have no savings to speak of, and I doubt that I would be able to support myself on this salary on london prices.
* it is far away from Birmingham, and I have grown somewhat attached to the place, and to certain of the people in it. This is not to say there aren't a whole bunch of people I love dearly in london too, just that it would be a hell of a wrench to move away now.
* didn't I want to go back to uni soon? how the hell would that fit with this job?
