11082019; My Journey as a Johnny Fan

Aug 11, 2019 21:40

I've spend the past few days rewatching my collections of SixTones videos especially Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou; the JDorama which introduces me to Johnnys and J-Idols. I've watched some JDorama before usually when they were airing on the TV but this was the first drama which i watched online. From here on, i would fine out more about the Johnnys world and how different it was from KPOP.

At first the concept of Johnnys Jr confused me. What do you mean these people are Idols but they are not Idols at the same time. What is the different between debuted idols and jrs if they both have their own songs and are allowed to performed? Why was a CD Debut such a big thing? As i mentioned, being a KPOP fan, a group is considered debuted once they've released a single. And these boys have multiple songs under their name so why wasn't they considered debuted idols? They do the same things as the debuted idols, they go on talk shows, variety shows, have solo concerts, have an acting careers. So why are they treated so differently just because they do not have a CD debut?

But then i was once again confused when i found out that Hokuto and Kouchi actually do have CD under their belts but once again they were not considered debuted idols and have to go through this pain of uncertainty future.

With many closed communities, it takes efforts to just find some videos that you want to watch and its hard to binge watch on shows when u have to take note of downloading time and whether the particular soft subs will work with the raw files that you've gotten. I currently have a missing sub for the 2nd part of a show on my harddisk and i don't know if i will  ever find the 2nd part of the show. Cause the subber has stop subbing and i don't know if any other community actually pick up the project. As such, i rarely come in to find catch up. I only came back in a few months and dl a few shows. I know the subbing process is a hard, difficult and long process and these stuffs are not as easily accessible as Hallyu stuff. But it takes a toll on you sometimes.

Anyway, why i decided to write this particular journal today after not updating for i don't know how long was because SixTONES are finally DEBUTING!!!

As i mentioned on top, the drama which introduce me to this world was Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou and of course the main 6 actor from johnnys are our SixTONES. As such they hold a special place in my heart. From the time when the got their names to the numerous debut rumours to the time when their junior was slated for debut while they waited, to the time they showed a new side to Johnny by doing the YOUTUBE campaign; something that had never been done by any Japan stars. I had seen these. Even though i was not always by their side, I was grateful for all of their hard work and the hope they gave us; showing us that by working hard we can achieve what we wants.

So i would like to end this super long ass post on congratulating the boys on their debut. Congratulations on your debut. Congratulations on succeeding in achieving your dreams. Congratulations on the new chapter of your life. Thank you for reminding me that hard work will show results and that by believing in yourself first, others will believe in you too.

Kouchi Yugo, Kyomoto Taiga, Tanaka Juri, Matsumura Hokuto, Lewis Jessie and Morimoto Shintaro Debut omedetou!!
