okay, so, quick update...
since my last update i moved out of my apartment on westland and into 20 wads (thomas' house), and had a really amazing time there. there were many absurd movies watched, a lot of room painting, lots of people around all the time, an incident with a toilet bowl scrubber that i dont want to talk about, an amazing cinco de mayo, and a ridiculous pre-cinco party with the dungens and dragons neighbors including fried ice cream, mixed drinks, 30's somethings all with long ponytails, glasses, and silk shirts. jon, thomas, and owen moved out through out the last week i was there. i finished up my unsuccesful spring semester. moved back to dover, to my mom's place till i move into the house on june 1st.
being in back in nh feels amazingly comfortable. although only a couple my friends from high school are actually back here for the summer i must say i really like what dover area's turned into in the two years ive been gone. ive kept busy with lots of job searching, trips to concord (including some unfortunate/interesting trips to the fair), lots of great drives in the woods talking and listening to music, went to a party in dover with kyle and bob friday, nice party at nick's saturday night despite me being the only girl in a group of about 15. i have a good feeling about the winter st. house and can say the same about this summer. ive been buying lots of silly records for my record player that im really excited about and even bought a typewriter today, just to be pretentious, and an amazing poloraid camera last week.
most importantly i found a got a job today as a waitress at the goldenROD restaurant on york beach
. i got it by going to a job fair at a remote location and being the only one there. the application included name, address, past two jobs, and unsettlingly enough 2 questions: "are you a fan of the NY Yankees?" and "are you a smoker". the interview was sketchy and the job seems pretty sketchy too, but itll do for now. lucky for me the uniform is a giant gay white polo and a middle aged woman SKORT that looks shokingly similar to this
so if you want to see me look like a real tool, just stop on by the historic goldenrod restaurant famous for taffy, "homestyle cooking". yee-haw!!
