winning at life for once!
so. here i am in south carolina. im about 15-20 minutes from charleston, which, let me tell you, is so cute!! its right on a bay that leads to the ocean and its just unlike anything around rochester or new york state at all. i drove down here with my dad, which was fun. we had some conversations, which doesnt really happen often, so that was nice. ive encountered many navy boys, both on base and off, but havent talked to any. tonight amanda and i (my roommate) are going out to downtown charleston to meet boys, hopefully. she knows someone who goes to school in charleston, so she knows all the happenin' places to be. i saw a cruise ship (like 3 times as big as the ferry) in the harbor today. it was excellent. i plan on having some exciting news by, oh, tomorrow, after i get drunk tonight. so stay tuned! also, im living in a trailor, in an rv park. we're the only permanent trailor here, which is weird, but its actually not that bad. at least i have internet and cable, right? eric didnt wanna hang out with my during my last day in syracuse:( that was sad. oh well, his loss!
p.s. be jealous, cuz it was like 65 degrees today. we had to turn the air conditioning on in the car.
p.p.s. i went to look for a fan today. you would THINK there'd be a fan in oh, say, the SOUTH. nope, i had to try four different stores!! all the other stores had were heaters. its so hot! who needs a heater?? i went to target, bed bath and beyond, babies are us (come on, babies need to be cooled off, right?), and finally office depot, the last place id expect to find a fan. i found one.
p.p.p.s. amanda's mom is here. shes really annoying and talks all the time, BUT very concerned for our safety. she keeps giving me things, like ant traps, clothes hooks, and mase keychains.
