im at camp. it sucks and doesnt. we drink ALL THE TIME. ive already hooked up and that was on my third night here or so. the kids are rich brats who never listen, EVER. worst kids ever. i dont think youve met a kid like these. lets hope you havent. but you can make fun of them and be really mean, and they dont care cuz theyre dumb. i get drunk

i actually got dismissed. it was a huge mixup, and the director did not want to hear my side of the story, only what the kids told him, and they wanted to get me fired cuz i wasnt skinny or pretty enough for them to like. i also dont have expensive clothes. they were hi fiving each other and laughing when i was packing up my belongings. heres the story:

my friend shannon had accidentally brought back a bottle of schmirnoffs ice with her from her night out (it was in a bag with candy that she was going to give the girls, and someone had put it in that bag on accident). i was already in the bunk, and the kids saw it, and i volunteered to hide it for her, since she didnt have a safe place to put it. so i put it into a trunk under my bed, out of view, out of reach, and not to be tampered with. well, i went to a wedding on friday, and in the confusion of things, left it under my bed, and thought itd be safe until i returned to give it back to shannon. while i was gone, the girls went through ALL of my stuff (my trunk handles were broken off, and crap was strewn all over my bed) and found it, and brought it to the head counselors, who in turn dismissed me. i went to the director and told him what had happened, and how at least the girls should be punished for searching through my stuff, without being supervised or without me there, and he didnt even care. he just told me that his reputation was at stake, and what if the parents find out, and what if the kids had decided to open the bottle. they were more concerned about the what ifs than the actual situation, or how i would be letting the ropes course staff down. they already have two staff members who arent going to make it through the summer due to medical probs, and one who will prolly be going home soon because she hates camp. and now im gone as well, and we only had 9 to begin with, and there MAY be 5 remaining. i was trying to explain that they needed me, and that id take a punishment, but he didnt care. these people only care about themselves. its really pathetic. not to mention, one of the 17 year old jc's went out to the bar the other night, got shitfaced, got his stomach pumped, and his only punishment was two nights that he couldnt leave camp. this is because his dad is a millionare, and hes been going to this camp for years. i think the fact that i was new played a huge part in me getting fired. i mean, i think im a good counselor, and would have played an important role in benefitting that camp. but when youre as self centered as those people, that doesnt really matter.
