Thank you so much for writing for me! I'm pretty easy to please, honestly, and I look forward to reading what you write! :) My A03 name is SegaBarrett.
Likes: Fluff, BDSM, angst, fluffy animals, humor, darkfic, pregnancy, cute babies, cute baby animals, angst
Dislikes/DNWs: animal death, ants, child abuse (but canon or canon compliant references to abuse are fine - just nothing super graphic please; I will try and be more specific in canons where this applies), abortion, eye trauma, situations where disabled people are in danger to get their loved ones to do something, destruction of a person's things, drowning
Prompts!!
Vulgar (2000) (safety)
Will Carlson & Flappy's Funhouse Cast, Will Carlson & Syd Gilbert, Will Carlson & Bella, Will Carlson/Syd Gilbert, Will Carlson & None, Will Carlson & Wilma Carlson
I rewatched this movie a little while ago, after having not seen it for years, and I love it. Will is such a likable main character who I really felt sympathy for, and so I would love to see him interacting with Syd, the kids on the show, his mom (if you want to go the angsty route) and/or just his life in general post or during the movie. I can see him being protective of the show's kids, so maybe something where he has to protect one of them from scheming agents/executives or something like that would be interesting.
Note, if you pick this as the safety fandom: This movie is available for rent on YouTube/Amazon Prime. It does contain a scene of sexual violence (and a later scene of implied violence against a child), to give you a heads up. The first scene is important to the plot and it's not *graphic* per se, but it is rather disturbing. Please be advised.
One last prompt (with a spoiler): I have now seen both the "uncut" and "cut" (R) versions of the movie, and I think I prefer the latter mainly because it cuts a line that implies that Ed tells Will about going after the "kid". I feel like with Will's protective nature towards children, he would have perhaps acted differently with that knowledge than he did. So it would be great to see Will saving the "kid" from the Fannellis - your choice on whether the "kid" is a kid or... whatever else was going on there since he was played by an old man. But if you do go with him literally being a child, please have no harm come to him (threats are fine, but maybe a few ticks down from the uncut version of that scene, so please no explicit sexual abuse threats) - getting kidnapped by the Fannellis is enough to scar him for life alone!
Clerks (1994) (safety)
Randal Graves/Dante Hicks
I love these guys and their friendship so much. I have also seen Clerks II but not recently; however I will probably see it soon again so if you want to incorporate elements of it, that is totally fine. I would love to see other Quickstop/RST shenanigans. What have they gotten up to on other days? Have they ever had a thing in the past with all the time they spend together? Does Big Choice Video really have the better movies?
Note: Available via HBO.
Bates Motel
Norma Bates & Caleb Calhoun, Norma Bates/Caleb Calhoun
I love this show so much and I just found the dynamic between Norma and Caleb to be so fascinating. I was hoping the show was going to explore more of how their relationship had changed after "Norma Louise", but alas. I would love to see anything with these guys.
Note: please no present-day non-con with Caleb as the aggressor, or explicit flashbacks to previous non-con, but references are fine.
Note: Available on Netflix.
Breaking Bad
Todd Alquist & Jack Welker, Brock Cantillo & Jesse Pinkman, Andrea Cantillo/Jesse Pinkman, Jesse Pinkman/Walter White
I love this show! Every character was so intriguing and everyone had hidden depths. In the case of Todd, those hidden depths were that he had some PROBLEMS. How did he get that way? I would love to see the backstory of Todd growing up with Jack. Did Jack try initially, or did he always want to raise Todd to obey orders without question and have his quirks? What happens if they ever butt heads on something? Has Jack ever had to protect Todd from the others?
I also love Brock and Jesse so much, man. While I get why they didn't do it (Brock's actor is like 19 now!), I did wish Jesse could have adopted Brock or at least seen him again. I would love to read about their travels, life in Alaska, evading the authorities, etc.
I also ship Andrea/Jesse and I wish the show had spent more time on their relationship! I would love to see Andrea, uh, not ending up as she did in canon. What if she broke in to the compound to save Jesse? (Heck, you could even go full on telenovela where she goes undercover and has to pretend to marry Jack for a while or something.) Alternatively, just any snapshots of these two and their relationship!
Annnd Walt/Jesse. Ah, they are so messed up, but I still ship them so hard. Where could they have gotten together (where couldn't they?)? What if Walt hadn't reacted so badly in "Bug"? What if Walt had admitted that he cared about Jesse way earlier? What if Walt and Jesse ran away at the end of the show? I'm really up for anything, and while I like the manipulation aspect a lot, I would also like Walt to realize he genuinely cares for Jesse at some point.
Note: Available via Netflix.
Never Have I Ever
Fabiola Torres & Devi Vishkumar & Eleanor Wong
I love this show and these friends. I would love anything in the general tone of the show, with them getting into any kind of crazy adventures. John McEnroe narration is not necessary, but definitely appreciated.
Note: Available via Netflix.
Spyder Games
Sasha Carlisle/Cherish Pardee
I remember watching this when it first aired, and I just fell in love with these two. This was such a fun show (all available on YouTube last I checked but, be warned, it's 65 episodes in full!) and I really fell in love with these two and their friendship/will-they-won't-they. I would love to see something about these two growing in their relationship over time and learning to heal from the past - we know Sasha has some secrets (some he has yet to find out if I remember correctly), but does Cherish have a few as well?
The Godfather Movies
Sonny Corleone/Tom Hagan
The relationship between these two was always really interesting to me, especially since Sonny literally found Tom and was basically like "can we keep him?" I would love some snapshots of their relationship over the years, and if you want to do a fix-it re: Sonny, please go right ahead!
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019) (safety)
Jay Sebring/Sharon Tate
I love these guys. We don't see a whole lot of their relationship in the movie, but I do love what we do see. Given the ending of the movie, what might be next for them? And as of course I love Rick and Cliff (and Rick/Cliff) please feel free for them to feature as well!
