I'm convinced that everyone in the Shire knows each other, and I don't know why? Do they?

No we don't :)

Some might, but they are usually the ones that don't venture out of the shire.

I live in the shire but work in the city so my world is a bit broader than most shire people ;)

Happens on the insular peninsular, but more so the further north you go… also happens in the inner west and in the Eastern Suburbs.

In all honesty it just freaks me out. Maybe Shire people are more friendly and open to meeting people, maybe that's how you guys all know each other

Probably.
Because it wasn't like that when I lived in Campbelltown.

It's the same with Canberra people, I swear.
Every show I've been to that I've known someone from Canberra I've ended up meeting another ten people from Canberra.
