North-west/West traffic
Sorry, it's a non-inner-west question! :p
I am contemplating some options for moving to a new location. A major factor is how it will affect my commute to work. So if any of you can offer any advice on any of the following trips, I'd appreciate it!
I work in Westmead and start here at 8.30am. I'll consider either driving myself or catching public transport (bus or train, depending on what is available). What would the trip be like in terms of travel time and general nastiness of traffic from the north-west, ie. Seven Hills, Parklea, Kellyville Ridge, Rouse Hill. Is it better to find yourself a back-roads route rather than staying on the main roads (especially Old Windsor)? And I finish between 5 and 6pm...is the return journey any better/worse?
I have no idea if any sydneysiders live or have lived in this part of Sydney, but I thought it would be worth a try! :)
