Cried Out Oceans
My burning eyes
Have spilled over tears
That fill up the ocean
One drop at a time
The dark sky above me
Is shedding tears
To match mine,
Heavy as rocks
My mind is as cloudy
As the vast sheet of gray
Directly above my head
And this unsettling earth
Everything is so dark,
My eyes are straining to see
Whether it's day or night
Or somewhere in between
The incoming waves
Tickle my ankles,
Bury my feet in sand,
Cold as ice
All around me
There is water
Washing away my love,
My sanity, my life
When the ocean is gone,
