It doesn't suck. I liked it. A few typos -- "self-depreciating" should be "self-deprecating" and "off handily" should be "offhandedly" -- and the second last line is a run-on sentence. The ending isn't as strong as the rest of the fic, probably because you're telling instead of showing; I'd probably have ended it after "Greg House started to laugh", because that shows the friendship without spelling it out.

Actually, there are a few places where you're telling instead of showing -- "House jumped, surprised when Wilson’s hand enclosed [should be closed] around his own" and "Wilson had gotten so tired of skirting the issue" were the ones I noticed most. Something to work on. It's a good little starter fic, though; keep writing.

If this was pre-slash, the two men have a long way to go. I am constantly amazed that Wilson gives House so much emotional support and House gives so little. Your story demonstrated this unequal relationship very well. If that was your intent then you achieved it very well.

Yay, first comment. i likee. Very house -= and i especially like Wilson's comment at the end - It's a good example of how Wilson can match one for one - we rarely see Wilson's fun side, but it's there. It's pretty good for a first fic in the fandom - you got their voices all right - but would Wilson still be mad at House after House took him in? that feels a little ooc. maybe you need to explain that more in the story.
