failed!Humour, failed!Romance.
Yunho/Jaejoong. (friend!OT5)
Jaejoong likes Twilight. Yunho hates Robert Pattinson.
(Failed summary for a failed romance scene. It's just something I wrote when I was bored. XD)
"Let's watched Romeo and Juliet!" Junsu suggests from his hands and knees, as he runs his finger along all the DVDs stacked in the DBSK bookcase, letting his hand linger longer on the one DVD that the other four men knew too well was his favourite.
"Junsu, we've watched that so many times I think that if I hear 'Romeo, Romeo, where for art thou Romeo?!' once more, I might contemplate killing myself." Changmin states, grabbing a huge bowl from one of the cupboards and filling it with popcorn from the large bag that Yoochun had just bought (after leaving the house, claiming he was going on a spy mission, dressed in huge sunglasses and almost all black - which Jaejoong mentioned would actually attract more attention but Yoochun dismissed this comment, just as he dismissed anything that would ever make his plans sound like failures...)
"Even more reason to watch it!" Junsu laughs chirpily, reading the back of the case for perhaps he gazillionth time, to get some kind of Romeo and Juliet fix because he knew that they really weren't going to be watching it... especially when even Jaejoong had gotten bored of it.
'Leonardo Di Caprio is ugly now though...' was his reasoning for liking the film less, and Junsu had made a point that he wasn't ugly in the actual film, but Jaejoong had only waved him off, in favour of choosing another movie that particular evening, when they'd settled on watching their new Stardust DVD.
"Why can't we watch Shrek?" Yoochun asks, appearing behind Junsu and letting his eyes wander over the top shelf of DVDs.
Changmin places the bowl on the table, not before stealing his own handful first and shoving some into his mouth, "You only want to watch Shrek because he looks like you."
And whilst Changmin giggles gleefully at his little joke, Yoochun joins in sarcastically before launching the plastic case at his arm, "If I'm Shrek, you can be the annoying little ass."
"He means Donkey." Junsu pipes up from the floor, still reading the back of Romeo and Juliet.
Changmin rolls his eyes, "I knew exactly who he meant."
Yoochun smirks. In most ways, Yoochun adored free days. It meant that they could lie in and do nothing all day, without worrying about interviews, meeting with people who weren't each other and the cameras - which meant one less day of rumours. But there was always the problem that doing nothing got pretty boring. And as free days were sprung upon Dong Bang Shin Ki without warning, they never had any time to actually plan something. So thinking of something to do was always pretty difficult, especially if they wanted to keep out of the media for one day.
Alas, the days of movie watching began. Yoochun couldn't quite remember who had come up with it, but slightly suspected Junsu, as he guessed that out of ten free days, they'd watched Romeo and Juliet for at least four of them (and then watched it a further, perhaps, twelve times, on evenings when they couldn't be bothered to go to bed and Junsu had been most awake and therefore persuaded all the other members to watch it). They'd watched Toy Story enough times as well, as that was Changmin's favourite animated movie and Yoochun had persuaded them to watch Scary Movie more than once, too.
It seemed that Jaejoong watched whatever they picked, but was always tempted a little more if it had a nice looking guy in it (or Jackie Chan). And Yunho, well he mostly accepted anything that Jaejoong liked - which didn't go unnoticed, except by Jaejoong, himself.
"How about The Mummy?" Junsu asks, as it was the case next to his beloved DVD that he'd just put back into place.
Yoochun shrugs, "I like the second one better."
"How about The Mummy Returns, then?" Junsu re-suggests, reaching for his glass of Cola, sighing at Yoochun's pickiness.
"Y'know, it doesn't really matter at the moment. We need to wait for Jaejoong to get back from grocery shopping and for Yunho to finish his ten hour long shower." Changmin points out, snagging another handful of popcorn and stuffing his face with it.
"Does it matter? We can't put the movie on, but it's better to pick one before they get here. They don't really help choosing anyway." Yoochun says, picking up Pirates of the Caribbean and trying to recall how many times they'd watched this one before Changmin grabs it and shakes his head, putting it back where Yoochun had chosen it from.
"We have both old and new, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, what about one of them?" Junsu asks, getting pretty fed up of trying to think of a film when they had about two hundred staring them right in the face.
"I don't feel like watching Johnny Depp and the oompa-loompas from the old film scare me." Changmin confesses.
Junsu cocks an eyebrow up at the youngest and sniggers, "Baby."
Changmin frowns, perfectly ready to open his mouth and come out with some retort enough to stun Junsu into silence for several hours, but unfortunately for anyone with ears, Jaejoong barges through the door with a couple of carrier bags in each hand and instantly demands that each of the men standing around the bookcase help him put the things away.
Reluctantly, the three males follow Jaejoong's cheerful figure into the kitchen and start pulling things from the plastic bags he'd thrown onto the counter.
"I think I can guess what film we're watching!" Jaejoong giggles excitedly, as he puts a lettuce and a pint of milk into the fridge.
The others exchange glances, trying to figure out what film Jaejoong could possibly be getting so excited about. What film had they missed?
"Actually Jae, we..."
"Why did you only put half the bag of popcorn out?" Yunho's voice interrupts Yoochun's confession from the living room and Junsu sees him peer into the huge bowl that Changmin had left on the table. The same Changmin who was now busying himself with putting the rice away...
"Nope, Changmin put it all out. The missing half is now in his mouth." Junsu says bluntly, "Well, probably Changmin's stomach now."
Yunho sighs as he enters the kitchen, tempted to kick the youngest up the backside whilst he's knelt on the floor, but refrains as another pressing question enters his mind.
"Please, Lord. Tell me we aren't watching Romeo and Juliet." Yunho pleads, pouring himself a glass of water and ignoring the huge jug of Cola that Junsu had made up whilst the others had been busy.
Changmin takes his head from the cupboard and grins, "Well then call me Lord because that was the first thing we banned."
Yunho thinks he hears Junsu scoff from the corner of the room, but he dismisses it and downs his water instead, just in case Changmin knocks it from his hand and breaks the glass, causing the water to tip everywhere... like he did last week.
During this commotion of five grown men trying to get around each other to unpack shopping in a fairly small kitchen, Jaejoong's silence had gone unnoticed by everyone except for Yoochun, who'd realised that he'd been quiet for a fair amount of time (likely since Yunho had entered the room). He watches as Jaejoong's eyes glaze over as he stares at their leader's Adams Apple bob as he gulps his drink down, before Jaejoong notices he's been staring a little too long and Yoochun observes the shake of his hyung's head and he distracts himself from Yunho's shirtless body by opening up a packet of jelly babies and tipping them into a bowl. Yoochun grins.
"Of course we aren't watching Romeo and Juliet." Jaejoong coughs, preventign his voice from cracking, "Jeez, Yunho. I know what we're watching and they don't even have to tell me." He says with a small laugh, busying himself with now making a plate of nachos - because Changmin wasn't going to last on popcorn and jelly babies.
Yunho's eyes widen in realisation, "No. No way, Jae! How many times have we seen that? It's not even a good film!"
A shrugging chain then takes place between Junsu, Changmin and Yoochun, who have no idea what film their hyung-deul are talking about. Sometimes the youngest three wonder whether Yunho and Jaejoong have some kind of telepathic connection that they don't know about and aren't allowed to join in with.
And as he believes that Junsu and Yoochun are just freaking out and not concentrating, Changmin thinks. A film Jaejoong love and Yunho doesn't like as much, that they must watch quite a lot - must have a good looking guy that isn't Leonardo Di Caprio (so not Titanic then), therefore probably isn't an animation, because Yunho loves those (so it can't be something like A Bug's Life)... perhaps it's one of the Harry Potter's. They've seen each of those about a hundred times each - but Yunho likes Harry Potter, so it can't be that...
And then it hits him slap bang in the face. As if it was written in huge illuminated flashing lights for the whole time he'd been thinking about what it could've been, Changmin face palms. But hey! What's wrong with that film?
"Everyone else likes it, Yunho. You're just going to have to put up with it!" Jaejoong smiles innocently, taking the recently made-up plate of nachos and bowl of jelly babies into the living room, with Yunho following him, a whine on his lips.
And when the youngest was about to free his more... simpleton... hyungs of their worry about what the film in question was that Jaejoong and Yunho were so freely discussing, Junsu steals his thunder.
"Twilight!" he squeals, "How could we forget Twilight?! I love that film!" And he skips giddily into the living room with the biggest grin Yoochun has ever seen on his face.
"Oh! I can't believe we didn't think of that!" Yoochun says to himself as Changmin drags his feet into the living room, kind of depressed that it sounded like Junsu was cleverer than he was.
Yoochun, himself, couldn't see Yunho's problem with Twilight. They'd only watched it three times which was miniscule compared to the amount of times Changmin had forced them to watch Chicago. Then again, that was Changmin. And Chicago is pretty much just about some chick in prison and when they watched it, Jaejoong liked singing all the songs, which seemed to make Yunho smile. And when they watched Toy Story, A Bugs Life or Shrek, their eldest enjoyed lying his head on Yunho's lap and falling asleep during the film, which also seemed to make Yunho smile. But this was Twilight - Jaejoong's favourite - a teen romance about a hot vampire dude and some helpless teen girl. Ah. Now Yoochun saw the problem.
Robert Pattinson.

Ten minutes, several complaints and Yunho's t-shirt later, found them finally ready to start the film.
They sat in their usual spots, Changmin and Yoochun lying side by side on their stomachs on the floor; Junsu in the chair in the corner with a blanket and a bowl of sweets to himself, protected from Changmin's wandering hands; and Yunho and Jaejoong sat together on the sofa, a lot closer than they would sit with any of the others - but that may've been due to temptation to make sure Yunho would let them watch the film (not that any of the others would buy that story if Jaejoong had used it as an excuse).
Surprisingly, no one had said anything since it had started, except from Changmin asking for the plate of nachos and Jaejoong telling him to shut up - and Yunho found the unusual silence very unnerving, especially when Jaejoong's head was lying on his shoulder. So when the other comments started, he glady welcomed them with open arms.
"She is so boring." Junsu yawns at the performance of the girl playing Bella, but he's soon hit with a pillow that comes from the direction of Changmin.
"She's pretty. So no one cares." he states, focusing again on the screen where mentioned character was sitting in her - in Yoochun's opinion - crappy red truck.
Yunho keeps his eyes on Jaejoong, who moved as soon as Bella met Eric and was now seated on the furthest edge of the sofa, too engossed in the film to notice any of his surroundings. He doesn't comment when Junsu and Changmin start arguing who's prettier, Bella, Alice or Rosalie; or when Yoochun laughs really loudly at Bella hitting Mike on the head with a volleyball. But that's not what Yunho is worried about.
When the scene at the lunch table starts, Yoochun swears that the atmosphere in the room darkens considerably, despite the attempt by Jaejoong to lighten it because he knows that his first favourite part is about to start.
Yunho's teeth clench at the exact moment Edward first appears, but that may have been because a small squeal manages to escape Jaejoong's lips as Robert Pattinson's eyes lock with the camera.
"God damn. He's so hot." Jaejoong sighs, grabbing hold of Yunho's arm, who flinches and dies a little inside from the red hot spark that he swears he feels from the touch and his vein popping at Jaejoong's stupid infatuation.
"I think he's vile." Yunho says, folding his arms and staring unimpressed at the TV.
Jaejoong gasps, "Are you blind? Just look at him! Being straight shouldn't stop you appreciating something beautiful when you see it!"
Yunho rolls his eyes at he irony and Yoochun coughs awkwardly. Junsu keeps himself quiet for once in his life, realising now would not be the time to point out that Alice has the better looking boyfriend, so must be prettier and Changmin continues munching on a few nachos, pretending not to have heard the conversation.

"I'm going to the toilet." Yunho announces when the baseball scene starts. all the members know that this is Jaejoong's favourite scene, next to the scene in Bella's bedroom (which only occured five minutes beforehand, and coincidentally Yunho ventured to the kitchen for a drink because unfortunately, the one he wanted wasn't already on the table, and so he'd returned with a carton of Ribena).
A natural smile makes Jaejoong's fave glow when the scene starts and Yunho sighs as he slips through the door to the toilet. Knocking his head against the cold tiles, Yunho groans and decides that he needs to get a grip if he's not going to give himself away - if he hasn't already. One more snide comment about Edward Cullen, and he could cease to exist under Jaejoong's piercing gaze.
Frustrated, Yunho spills water from the tap, filling the sink enough for him to splash it against his face, "What's so special about Edward Cullen anyway?"
"He's a vampire... I guess that's pretty special."
"Jaejoong-hyung?" Yunho blinks and he thinks that maybe he's imagining the other man standing at the bathroom doorway, partially because he thinks that nothing could be more embarrassing that Jaejoong hearing him say that and because there's no way that Jaejoong would even imagine missing any part of his beloved fucking Twilight.
Jaejoong's smile falters, "Since when do you call me hyung?"
"I... uh... I don't know. I guess it just slipped out." Yunho admits, turning back to his reflection in the mirror, trying to ignore the image of Jaejoong's face on his shoulder. He hadn't called Jaejoong 'hyung' in years, the other claiming that it didn't sound right coming from his leader, especially when they'd been close for years before they'd even become part of Dong Bang Shin Ki. So what had made him say it just then? Did he feel more distant from Jaejoong now? That was a bit of an overreaction to a film. Maybe he was embarrassed because Jaejoong had just heard him complain about Edward Cullen. Yes, that must be it.
"Yunho?" Jaejoong asks and Yunho breathes deeply. Why couldn't Jaejoong just leave him alone? His self-control wasn't great at the best of times and right now it had been significantly reduced by jealousy of a fictional character... how stupid.
"Are... are you okay, Yunho?"
"Look, Jaejo..." Yunho attempts to say as he turns, ready to ask the other to leave so he could gather his thoughts, but is disctracted instead, forcefully interrupted by a mouthful of teeth and lips. And Yunho suddenly feels like he's flying. He feels like nothing can bring him down as the other's lips caress over his and loses almost all of his brain as it melts in his skull. But ironically, his thoughts are his downfall.
They remind him that this must be a dream, because a kiss from an angel just wouldn't happen in reality. And Jaejoong thinks your straight, his mind keeps saying, refusing to let Yunho revel in the feeling of Jaejoong's hand tangled in his hair, because it just isn't real. Nothing could ever feel as good as this.
But the sound of Jaejoong's breathing and the loss of warmth from his lips brings him out of his delirious moment, his arms still encasing the other in a hold that some may call a little more protective than necessary, and Yunho stares into the huge eyes that stole his heart years ago. Yunho isn't sure why this feels so right, to have Jaejoong standing in his arms and looking into his soul. Why it feels like Yunho has nothing to hide from the other's beautiful gaze.
"Yunho... I..." Jaejoong breathes, unsure of what to say and how to say it, a hint of amusement in his voice, "Yoochun and I were talking last night and he suggested that you might like me... a little more than you liek the others... the same way that I like you." He tears his gaze from Yunho's eyes, hoping that this wasn't as humilating as it felt, "I laughed and didn't believe them because you had always said you were straight. I guess that's why I never expected anything from my feelings for you."
Jaejoong laughs then, a hint of embarrassment tinting the melody and it seeps through into his next words, "And then Junsu came up to me earlier this morning just before Yoochun went out and he said that you react differently when we watch Twilight than anything else. And I really started believing that you might like me. So I wanted to see for myself because I'd never noticed it before... because I like the film so much."
Yunho sniggers, "I'm not sure I've ever been happier to find out that my members have been talking about me behind my back."
"Oh, Yunho, it's not like that. We weren't being horrible." Jaejoong defends, but Yunho just laughs, kissing his lips again and resting their foreheads together.
"I know." he smiles, "So what does this mean?"
"This means I like you. And I hope it means you like me too. Because if it means that, then I hope it then means that we're together. Because I'd like that. A lot."
"Hmmm... I think I'd like that too." Yunho says and wraps his arms tighter around Jaejoong's frame and rests his head on his shoulder, reminding himself to thank the other members later.
"Oh and Yunho..." Jaejoong says, lifiting his head and finding Yunho's eyes, "I love you more than Edward Cullen."
Yunho smiles.

Okay so this little number has been gathering dust on My Documents and instead of just leaving it, I thought I'd post it. I don't like deleting things. >_<"
So I know it's horribly written and it changes from a little buddy YooSuMin, to a completely weirdly written YunJae scene, I hope it doesn't sound too strange and was actually bareable! XD
I'm currently working on the next chapter of both Miracle and Thanks to Mr Choi, so hopefully they will both be up within the fortnight - but I'm not promising anything because I'm a failure and must be the slowest updater out of everyone! So yeah, please bear with me and look forward to those. :)
Thank you for reading anyway! And if you love me enough, drop me a little comment because I'd love to hear what you think! Ta-ta! <3
