Non-Spoilery Transformers Review

It's worth seeing, as I've been told by others, if you want to see a movie about giant space robots duking it out. Some of the dialogue was 1) very cheesy and 2) just plain dumb. A bit too goofy in places for my tastes. I can live with it though.

But my number one complaint, the thing that actually detracted from my moviegoing experience, was:
Hold the freakin' camera still!
Seriously. 'Cos I'm there to see the robots beating the crap out of each other, and when the camera holds on a shot for approximately 0.00052 seconds, I can't see the fight! If there's a sequel, I hope someone directs it who won't make me feel like I've fallen down the stairs whilst watching the film. The credits include steadicam operators. Why did they bother using steadicams? What a waste!

But mostly a good movie. I'm glad I went to see it. As I drove home I was affected the way I was when I saw Cars: the vehicles looked different. I almost expected some of them to transform and look for Decepticons. :) The line about the car choosing the driver made me smile: my SuDoy chose me. I wonder what kind of robot he'd be if he were a Transformer...

Now: Dinner!
Later:TFU (duh)
