Creativity, the Full Moon, and, A Poem!

I got a fair amount of stuff done yesterday. I ran a handful of errands, almost got hit by a dumbass woman who totally blew a stop sign and didn't even look when I blared my horn at her, was moderately grumpy on and off throughout the day, tidied my desk, picked up the assorted crap off the floor, and made the place look decent. Last night I went to Heaven on Earth with arcadian72 and we chatted about stuff, junk, and my writing. She went home with a hard copy of the first three chapters of my NaNoWriMo novel, "The Rise Of Umbra" (still very available on my writing website).

Heaven on Earth is a nice place. It's a perfect place to stop in for a bit of a snack or some tea and write in my journal. And, of course, a great place to drop by with a friend for some chattage time.

Before I went to HonE, I randomly wrote a poem about something that had happened to me that day. It's totally foolish and I know I mixed a couple metaphors in there, but here it is:

Two sweaty brats I did espy
Tossing a ball with whoop and cry
Without a care for passers-by
Gallivanting through the K-Mart.

A woman stopped a worker there
And gave her mind to find the pair
Before they harmed hide or hair
Within the Sporting Goods section.

In a moment thence, my shopping done,
I was passed by the one and one
Headed for the day's bright sun
Beyond the entrance of the K-Mart.

As the PA called security to heed,
The boys mounted their trusty steeds
Left by the entrance in case of need,
And rode out the K-Mart doors.

I did not see to whence they fled,
Trapped by slothful cashiers instead,
Perhaps manners will blossom in their heads
Afore next they come to K-Mart.

Don't ask. :)

Also, the moon was full and beautifully orange last night. I wish I had a better camera with which I could take nice shots of it. Maybe I'll start looking into getting one sometime soon.

Anyway, lunchtime. Laters!

writing, creativity, poetry, silly
