(no subject)
Not much got done today. I burned another 4-part episode of Doctor Who, but am still waiting for fills for the last set I downloaded. Earthlink's news server blows - at least half of the files on the a.b.doctorwho group are damaged. Meh.
I'm really tired today, but I'm expecting my period this week (-ish) and I haven't drunk much water lately. Also: the hot 'n' humid weather. Blech.
I made the mistake of installing The Sims: Unleashed this weekend. Well, with no gaming, what was I supposed to do? :) Spent way too much time playing that this weekend, and found myself wondering how The Sims 2 is.
But! I got my vacuuming done Saturday, on schedule. And I tidied the bottom shelf of my second divider, though I haven't got rid of all the stuff that I'm keeping from that lot. My desk, consequently, is a mess.
The other day while I was taking all the STUFF down from my bulletin board (which was a depository area of its own sort) I thought it would be nice to have a way to display some of the assorted cards and doodads I have which are Klingon-related. I thought I could get either a picture frame or a display box to arrange them in, then hang it on the wall. (I've been watching a lot of "Clean Sweep", "Christopher Lowell", and other home-improvement shows lately.) I also straightened the top of my bookshelf and displayed my Associates Degree and my Certificate of Recognition from the MCCC Writers Club from 2003, with my copy of The Songlines, as well as my classic-looking copies of The Odyssey and The Iliad between them. Looks cool. Now where do I put my vase 'o incense sticks?
Finished assembling the four GI Joe mural-forming puzzles I want to sell and discovered I have two complete. If one were to build the whole mural, the only missing piece that would matter is one top-edge piece. I wonder if anyone would buy the set? We also started going through the toys we brought down from the attic last week. We have to start putting them in boxes and pricing them -- we're hoping to start the yard sale Friday! Eek!
Can't think of anything else for now. Tired. Time for some post-pasta crashage in front of the TV. Or more Sims! :)
